I saw many devs here complaining about WordPress, which I used to do. But recently WordPress saved me in work.
Client needed a fully functional e-commerce site with some custom logic in 3 days, which is required only for 2days for a contest. So we developed the site in WordPress in 2days, 1day testing and data upload.

So I'm not sure if there is any solution other than WordPress or platform like that to help in these kind of situations.

Yeh, nah if a job required that from me I wouldn't take the job. Nothing good would come of it in my experience.

The amount of times I've heard "lets do this thing quickly and only for a temp solution" that became permanent solutions which turned into a Frankenstein of code, is too damn fucking high.

Listen kids, just because you can, doesn't mean you should 😲

The caveat to the above is if you've got a contract implace that specifically says you won't be supporting what you make and that if they want a full fleged product that it'll be made from scratch.

@D--M in my work almost all products are done from scratch. But I'm asking in these situations what can be done. Is there any better way to do it with minimal cost?

BTW the site was only needed for 2days. So it's not temp solution. Site itself is temporary.😀

@AnonymousDev ah, in that case more power to you

There isn't anything remotely similar to WordPress in terms of getting something quick and nasty and making sure even the braindead clients can use.
