To put some real input to the conversation, I can't really complain about apple's OS as I haven't touched it since the first or second gen Ipod touch. My biggest gripe is how they treat their user base in advertisement. "This is a phone. You make calls with it. This is your thumb. Its this long." It felt really babying when, and I'm heavily paraphrasing the advert from memory, they used that sort of line for their ipod touch or Iphone line a while back. The railroad of "use our products this way and this way only" is not what I want out of my technology. Thats why I exercise mt freedom to choose.

Iirc python actually doesn't care if it gets semicolons. You can put them in if it makes you more comfortable
-
I have no idea what you're on about but I think that's what I love most about this post
-
@Pyjong I'd feel called out but your username makes me think this is also a self callout :p

If anyone is wondering, index of 8,6 going upwards
-
I really hope this is a joke. If it is, good on you. If it's not, why?
What point is there to not just make x equal to the randint expression? -
I'm just glad I'm not the only one being called out by this XD

This has some serious Bitwise vibes... If it's not 100% mandatory for me to be validating the system is collecting my inputs properly (mstsc tends to drop or add keyboard presses) I just don't look at the screen... Laze back into my chair, stair at the ceiling and glance down for outputs

I personally own the same headset as well as it's younger brother the 633, they both do this when installing and uninstalling any program on steam. I have also noticed it doesn't require the mic to actually be in use, only to be active, as in having it down. I have noticed it doesn't happen when the gaming software is not active. It doesn't seem to be an edge case as far as forums are concerned with it. But no one knows how to fix it.
To weigh in on the debate of usb headsets vs audio jack headsets, for me it's the compact of having a single plug into my PC. -
Personally own that stick. It's seen me through thick and thin and I love it to bits. Got it at value village for like 6 bucks and do not regret it
-
@react-guy if you can find a better solution I'll update my single line :p
-
For anyone missing context, I worked on this for a solid hour condensing it to one line and I kept looking back to my friends solution and absolutely lost it when looking to my own single line.

Compiler: "hey, somethings wrong here. I got this error for you."
Smart compiler imagined by this kid: "hey, somethings wrong. I got this error so here is your editor open to the snippet of code as well as the previous snippet that called it, a suggestion of what might be wrong and some underlines. Let me know when you think you solved it and I'll continue where i left off." -
@M1sf3t I also dont know a good use case for it. I dont have any real projects where I'd need it
-
Another technology i have yet to work with. Docker is as intimidating as it is inteeesting.

Googly eyes, bloopers, and behind the scenes durring the video. I love it.
-
@C0D4 it seems like something I'll enjoy considering I have no dev friends and I have a few pent up rants about different things.
-
@C0D4 Hi! I am new guy. Pleased to meet you. :D
-
My first couple posts I made so I could have my avatar. I intend to post on here and participate in descussions but other than that I think I may just lurk about.
-
@M1sf3t I found DevRant by accident by searching the app store. popped in, started looking at rants, jokes, everything and I was laughing my rear off the whole time. so I couldn't resist just joining and having some fun.

@irene Fair enough. I'm more interested what people think a fun arcade kind of game would be to make or play
