It's easy to write and read but symbolic language like mathematica is even easier, too many people telling me it's fast without knowing that it's the packages in C that are doing the computationally expensive bits...also I main Fortran and C, so tell me about how fast python is?

Right. I don't write Greek but all maths variables are defined in Greek letters.

And couple of friends including myself learnt Greek alphabet by Latex

With \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} you can just use Greek keyboard, instead of \epsilon etc

Unis aren't ranked by undergrad teaching but mainly research output, unless you're talking about ivy-league otherwise it's all the same

Knowing the time and challenge that take to implement and test a new feature requires a good understanding to the program. It's the bit that salesmen missed out hence impossible promises made to the customers that drove you nuts.
