@sheriffderek Using Vue Mastery is the fastest way to learn Vue in my opinion
-
I disagree. They are refined and dense in information. Length !== Value
IMO (at least VueMastery since I’ve actually use that) is the best way to learn Vue that there is -
@vintprox all of that pain so we can make the drop-down look a little different
-
@Nightstrider I’m using git, I know there were no changes because I pulled the repo and low and behold, ‘everything is up to date’. What I can’t prove is that it wasn’t edited directly
-
@SortOfTested I have evidence that there was no commit. I can’t prove that it wasn’t edited directly on live though
-
@010001111 also I set the font size to 62.5% (or something around that) so 1rem=10px.
-
@010001111 currently having to use bootstrap because the client wants it, and the company that I work for wants it done with that way 🤷♂️
I’d drop bootstrap in a heartbeat if I could 😂
Does that content Mixin compile all of the media breakpoints at the end? Cause if so, I’ve been looking for that for a while. -
@burningcandle Hey man, I’m English and I wrote that from memory, so I’m gonna give myself some brownie points for that one 🤷♂️

@burningcandle :(

@tahnik I used to hate wordpress but now that I've used it for a few months, it's useful to be honest. Unless you have a load of time to build a custom cms, or you're working on a really small project, Wordpress is pretty dope. It's WYSIWYG tools are kind of top notch, if you learn how to develop for them correctly.
It's especially good for clients because most people have used wordpress before so you don't have to train them in adding content their own website. -
@Fathewa It doesn't work :') You always need server side validation, otherwise people can submit whatever they want, either by manipulating the javascript on their machine, or just submitting their own http requests. It's a pretty easy exploit

What about the new Emergency service number for nicer ambulances, faster response times and better looking drivers?

(Not a vim user)
But I imagine vim to be the one who looks really unique. Some people find her ugly, but a lot of people think she’s the most beautiful woman they’ve ever seen. You’ll have to work hard with her. She has a lot of barriers that you’ll have to work through, but you know deep down, after all of the work, she’ll be worth it.
If you fail however, you won’t know how to quit her 😘 -
@SHA-256 blenders newest update genuinely makes it as good if not better than its multi thousand pound software ‘competitors’
-
@AndiLeni If it fits your use case, go ahead. Honestly it’s good for making quick user interfaces, but css3 is so powerful that you can do practically everything bootstrap became famous for with relative ease.
Css grid is objectively better than bootstrap grid which is what the majority of developers use bootstrap for anyway.
Scss compiling a bootstrap theme (which is now pretty standard industry practice) basically makes the argument ‘well it doesn’t effect page speed because it’s cached’ redundant.
The file sizes for the html documents are larger because of the significant increase in semantically pointless nested divs.
And on top of that, the return in speed of development gets thrown out of the window when your design doesn’t completely adhere to certain rules, as you have to wrestle the framework into submission.
But if you want to make an app with little to no actual css programming, then it’s a good fit. -
Am I missing something here? It seems pretty vanilla web dev
-
Good old to-do list
-
Download power mode and feel alpha af instead
-
Any company worth making a website for will understand the value of SEO and having a fast website.
Just show them a server bill for a wordpress vs a custom CMS and they might think twice about their ignorance. -
Are visual metaphors banned in visual mediums?
