I can’t stand how designers insist on over designing <select> elements. No, 50 divs with aria attrs will not make this component as usable as the native elements

Git rebased and lost a feature that took me 3 night coding sessions by ignoring the incoming change.

As a strong supporter of ditching anything other than pure css for layout, finding out flutter has an equivalent of flex box is making my private parts flex-grow: 20;

‘Hey let’s use bootstrap’
‘Hey let’s make it pixel perfect to this design’
‘Hey, lets completely ignore bootstrap when designing’
‘Hey lets pile it all on dev while he fights this framework for 8 hours a day instead of working to bootstraps limitations’
I wish people would just accept that if you use bootstrap, you have to let a pixel here or there go for the sake of responsiveness.

Today I deployed my first website with Wordpress’ second wpdb object. After scratching my head and frantically googling for 2 hours why it works on my machine but not the deployment server, I realised that I’d set the username and password to DB_USER and DB_USER...
So root root works but anything else doesn’t....

Sometimes I find solutions so ridiculous, I can't help but laugh at the hours that I put into finding them.

I tried to find a way to put space between items in a flexbox while they were in a row, but without leaving uneven space on either side of the elements when they wrap. After scratching my head for longer than I'd like to admit, giving the parent a negative margin and the children the same positive value allowed me to achieve this. (I would have saved a lot of time googling this, I know.)

I uninstalled Brackets today. I haven't used it for about a year since I moved over to VSCode. I genuinely shed a tear thinking about the websites I made with it. I wrote my first line of Node in that program... Goodbye old friend

I just spend 5 hours wondering why the my slug rewrite wasn't working in wordpress. Turns out the 1 second fix was updating the permalink structure in the admin panel.
I can't wait to move to a custom cms.
