@example-user The organisations I have worked have a painful approval process for using any kind of software that does not come out of the box. Luckily, Notepad++ was allowed in all of them. So, it is commonly used for cases like editing server.xml from WinSCP, general configuration files and such.

@Lexter As one of the leading organisations with a worldly impact, they have a huge responsibility, and it is okay for us to criticise when we have to. Organisations are nothing without customers, and customers can always voice up upon inconvenience. I don't hate Google. I like Google's products.

@frogstair They don't if they are grouped together which is the case in the common browsers and mobile launchers like mine. 'Utility' takes priority - Isn't that why those apps are there in the first place? I appreciate how they want to Googlise the icons but it is not helping.

At least you sound as if you are organised. For me, I had trouble focusing on the preparation part while unable to relax properly due to my interests in some of my other leisurely activities like games. I know this sounds cliche, but I found a little book called 'a little book of mindfulness' (literally named as such) in a random store. It DOESN'T have essays but one or two wise pieces of advice on each page. It has been surprisingly helpful in sorting out my restless mind though I am not even an avid reader. I don't know how long the productive effect will last. I will try to update the author name.... I keep 'forgetting' it.

All my Java (+microservices) projects that used maven had me concentrated on just the programming logic, design patterns, business functionalities and architecture while developing applications without having to worry about multi-module build, but all those that used Gradle was such a pain in the a**.
