I had a coworker that would bitch about people touching his screen. He was a pain in the ass to work with.
Like, we are having a serious discussion and I point at something without touching the screen but he still starts complaining and disrupts the whole discussion because you see, once I touched his screen and he is afraid I would do it again. Even though when I did, it did not leave a mark and I learned my lesson to not do it again, because I don't want to listen to his complaining again.

Thoughts about quitting this profession happen once every so often.. I would like to sell food. A bit like a restaurant but with more takeaway. I enjoy cooking and seeing how people shine when given food 😀
Plus one can probably make a living off of it, everyone needs to eat something after all.

My last interview went like this.. a guy have us a coding challenge and observed how we handled it. Then we talked about our solutions and we got hired for that. Not for what my verbal skills are. I don't develop software by speaking softly to the compiler.

I had highscore of 85 when I went up and beat it.. went to about 120 still having a shield and I saw a spinning wrecking ball so I panicked and hit the base of it (the wall part) and the game crashed. When I restarted I was still with a high score of 85 :(
It won't stop me from trying again though. Just a heads up.

I don't care about a few instructions or a few bytes of memory.

It matters when I'm working on embedded stuff.. but then I'm rather forced to use c (wich I also like actually).

It's very liberating telling someone that you don't care for whatever they are talking about, if you really feel like that. Arguing about stuff will take you nowhere but not giving a fuck just ends the conversation.

I've been a rubber duck for a few people and at one point it was just too annoying so I snapped. And they were fine with that, which surprised me but turned out.. just fine.

Another vote for gitkraken. Although it cannot replace the cli it's still pretty useful.
