@killames He's right, though. The piece I'm in charge of on my project has never failed in a demo while others have, and it's on me to help them as a team member. If the demo fails, it doesn't matter if your piece worked, people get upset, and it's the whole team to blame.

Yes, and for this reason, I'm out.
-
You could try Deno, it just came out.
-
Firmly grasp it.
-
You have my vote 🗳! Also, good luck with the competition.
-
I also would advocate for using socket.io
We use it at work and also in all of my own projects for its ease of use and also the wealth of information on it aka StackOverflow posts. -
That really sucks to hear, sorry this happened. On the bright side, you got some good experience!
-
Fellow DoD Contactor dev here 👋 Yes, in the place I work it is well known that it’s super hard to get fired.
-
If they are treating you that way then do you really need them in your life? This could turn into a lot of drama fast.
-
Done and done.
-
Genius!
-
Same bro!
-
I would just like to say that I added up your percentages and they do in fact add up to 100%! This is now a mathematically verified rant. Carry on.

There is enough space for you to open the door. The top of the door looks deceiving but from the bottom of the desk to the door there looks to be more space to open said door.
-
Seeing this project come to life is really something! Good job!
-
I like how pot and joint are somehow two different things that need their own lines.

I'm with @ausername. You **really** need to report them. What they are doing is completely unprofessional and it needs to stop. You can keep telling yourself that it's fine and you can't report them but you really have to.
1. You won't suffer because of it. If they try to backlash in any way then they are terrible people who shouldn't even be at school let alone in a CS degree track.
2. This will make you a stronger person because you should never have to put up with this kind of stuff. Even if you are in college you still need to make sure you take care of yourself first and others second.
If this happened at my place of work and it did happen to me too in college. I reported my teammates immediately. They learned real quick after getting a pretty bad grade and my grade being scaled because I was the only one working on it that they shouldn't mess around. -
I don’t do it to inflate my commit history. My reason is I switch between two laptops constantly so the commit message usually says “Transferring work” 😂
-
I would honestly just go for react and learn JS as you go. You will need JS anyways when writing React so better to kill two birds with one stone.
-
The first one, linnucks.
-
Environments are the worst pains. I wish more people just used containers already.
-
@gathurian I feel like there would be a lot of repairs if everyone was literally "slamming" their laptops onto their docking stations 😂

My friend has an HHKB and I've tried it and once you get used to the layout it's a really solid keyboard that's a dream to type on. I wish they put backlighting in as a feature but I guess you can't have everything.
Topre's feel so amazing. -
For the IPad: I like the design and the apple pencil is a pretty solid upgrade. The price is still steep and I'm not sure I'm going to upgrade from my 10 inch IPad Pro.
For the MacBook Air: I think everything except the keyboard is a win. Honestly, it's a really solid upgrade. Basically a MacBook with a 13-inch screen. The keyboard though for me just doesn't have enough travel to type on it for long sessions. This is honestly why I got a pixel book so I could do development with a decent keyboard on the go with solid battery life.
For the Mac Mini: This is honestly the winner here. Solid upgrades all around and the space grey finish looks awesome. I might even pick up a few for my company and run them as a mini server farm. -
@Stuxnet Yeah I'm waiting for those people to come :P
I don't know if I would feel the same way I do on a cheaper Chromebook. The premium feel of the Pixelbook is really doing it for me. Makes me feel way more productive than I really am haha! -
Welcome to StackOverflow, also welcome to communicating with other humans on the internet!
-
Same and I hate it so much!
-
It’s sheer willpower. I have a project I’m working on with some friends and yeah I get home from work and I’m super tired but the thought of this project actually becoming something real keeps me going.

That last function needs some help (I am channeling my inner rubber duck)
-
@PreyK Honestly for most intensive things I just use git bash which give me most all of the Unix functionality I need on windows.
