Waaaaaitaminute, @athlon... You did this when you still were together? I thought you already separated and you deliberately shot down unhealthy sex with the ex!

TherapistFinder.com
ChildMoleStation.com -
@wowotek isn't 'sudo fuck' technically rape?
-
Correction: I believe those were 12"
-
@Bresson yep. We had a set of i7 13" xps laptops that had constant issues with WiFi (missing connectivity or even bsod), some with power and most were spinning up like a vacuum cleaner out of the blue.
-
Is that one from Lidl? He looks exactly like my little "Dr. Ragequit".
-
I once had a friend who had a qr code saying "aua" tattooed on her arm. That's the German equivalent of "ouch".
-
@Bresson my last employer gave me an xps. The whole team had constant problems with the drivers on Windows 10.
-
So far I cannot complain about my new tuxedo.
-
@mundo03 I don't believe in universal space time - (quantum?) physics doesn't allow for it - time dilation being what it is.
-
@korengali I really did not want to discuss this any further, but there seems to be a misunderstanding:
It's not about difficult, it's about abuse (no matter if intentional or not or who the source is).
Given the right amount of stress and the right kind of leverage even the cleaning lady can burn out. -
@M1sf3t I respect your experience and person, but this definitely is NOT what "most people go through". I got a closer peek at this than only this post and it actually was a pretty bad environment that most people would get worn down by.
There is no weakness or feeding bullshit in this story.
Most people who hear those stories from that place are shocked and angry from the amount of stress and ignorance met there. -
I wholeheartedly wish you the very best.
Don't feel bad. No job in this world should be worth destroying yourself. Always be your own priority #1 and only let the project management decide on #3-x.
And no one ever could hold this against you while being a decent human being. -
Get some compact speakers and have everybody listen to your music, if you cannot listen in private.
-
@AlmondSauce I love my .rocks- domain.
-
I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me
-
I think most bosses can't do more than get on the phone if hell breaks loose, anyway...
-
Nice! Like it!
-
@irene trying to get to that habit for years now. Success so far: dropping dead at midnight, still dead if woken up before 8:30.
-
@irene "late" was working from 22-7h during a good portion of my studies.
-
@Krokoklemme @irene there is a genetic preference for "early" or "late".
Yet I live against my internal clock during the week (which was very hard to establish) and get crap from my wife if I get tired at midnight during the weekend as well. -
Interesting variation of that:
Boss is very hesitant to buy proper equipment. Needs weeks to months of persuasion for proper mouse and keyboard, haggle for more RAM on my laptop etc.
Home office only occasionally...
Lots of stress (partially from the boss himself).
*3 devs quit after complaining forever*
Suddenly the boss promises to get all new epic equipment, home office en masse, optional reduction in hours, more money... -
@theKarlisK "code archeology" is a great term! Love it!
-
Sounds like my symfony 1.4 project
-
Well. It seems like it's easier to dig yourself a hole in C# than to make it very short and concise.
-
@sjw-brah actually I am pretty confused how she managed to do that. It seems like IE and chrome printed fine for her, but her Firefox is set to retard mode.
And no, using a properly configured browser is no valid solution to her, as she represents a couple of thousands of users. -
@irene I am switching to a server-to-server service/API team at the end of the year. Doing only backend-stuff and nothing directly touching the browser.
-
@vlatkozelka then he should have seen this coming.
-
I can relate to that.
-
@GamerFac3 I was trying to. I am still porting the old stuff and WSL can be a little bitch at times.
