@linuxxx Yes but next answer is about nginx and explaining option request and that may get you on the right path to a solution
-
@neodite i think that you need to show who you are not what you are not by dressing what you normally wont wear. it may of course depend on your country culture and so on..
I live in the Netherlands and we have a saying:
"Doe maar gewoon, dan doe je gek genoeg!"
translated is say:
"Just act normal, than you act crazy enough"
So if they don't like how i look in everyday clothing than its not my company. -
just so you know, I never made any rude remarks or shouted in the feedback phone call, so i kept the screaming devil deep nested inside.... and responded in correct non attacking manner.
-
@linuxxx look at this post on stack overflow,
https://stackoverflow.com/questions...
I had the same problem with POST and this how i found the anwser. -
@teganburns better late than never!

Stop yapping, use spaces! Ever had to debug a yaml file? Like when you use Ansible. Tab characters will waste your time for finding them because yaml Doesn’t accepts tab characters.
Just make hitting tap insert space characters, also makes sharing good formatted code on any software because tab characters can differ in size on different systems....
You get the drift just use space characters because syntax errors.
Else I will come and make you debug a big ansible playbook with hidden tab characters... without coffee! -
In Some cases its good idee to start with designing your interface based on the business requirements. By using that approach you can better understand what logic is required and what data.
This will give you the option to minimize the amount of logic needed to fetch or call data based on what the user interface requirers and not how the data is mapped. -
Already done it! Anyone experiencing with honeypot.io?

I personally like the matrix software and the concept behind it. Also that it supports multiple bridges already like slack and irc. Maybe some fellow devRanters her like to build a bridge to the devRant API?
-
@Codex404 I am a mac user and windows, I personally didn't had lot of trouble with win 10 and your argument are correct. And I want to add that when you install windows on mac hardware most of the time it will run just as stable as mac. Most machines where windows runs on is based on low to medium quality hardware. Or mix of high, low and medium. Just because the on part you didn't think was important Enough to spent a lot of money on. The complete stability of the system is effected. That what makes apple hardware and software stable.

Try using tabs in yaml. Like ansible playbooks
-
Also the dutch goverment ran Windows xp after it was out of support. Then they payed Microsoft to keep supporting it. Hopefully now days they they use newer versions..

@linuxxx cool, I am up for it! But I don't have the skills as a good organizer. Somebody up for the task?
-
Mabye time for world map of ranter amounts of each country with accompanying meetup groups. 😝@dfox it might have a interesting result

Alright time to tape off all microphones and cameras!

Just how my desktop would look like if I not had enabled hide all icons. Reason that I use it as a dumping ground for files I need to save quickly and temporarily, and forgetting about them😒

Until you will meet assembly. So your best cure will be to try it and then choose your best languages and dig deep into them.
Tip of the day!
Don't learn how to use the language but learn how the language is run and works and its oddities.
Is made me respect and understand pure JavaScript a lot more. -
@Falk you would expect they start with arrays at 0😝
-
@thmnmlst this is because the browser window has no fixed height defined. And that means you can not define the center of something that's infinite.
So infinite/2 is equivalent to unknown.
This means that you need to create a situation where your height is defined and then you can calculate half.
My solution is mostly using magic of margins and paddings with %. And hope for the best that all browsers like the solution. -
Right never been accross the pond to the Netherlands, people say what they think without excuse.
By accident walking into someone you only get bad look if you are lucky.
When I was in London they excused them self. -
Take a look at matrix.org they have a nice growing concept.
-
Try editing yaml files for saltstack with tabs! Error messages are everywhere.
YAML is space sensitive so nowadays I use spaces everywhere instead of tabs -
North Holland , netherlands 🇳🇱born and raised. On playgrounds I spend most of my days.

I just do something what feels good. Every hour it can change. Is something like generating a random number. 😌
