You know what I'm here for...
*Grabs popcorn* -
@linuxxx I know there was an app DNS switcher on google play at some point and apps like ROM Toolbox could do it. But all of them are somewhat sketchy
-
What exactly happened? I need more info
May they rest in peace. -
A slavic squat, perfection.
-
@embeddedmaikel I kinda was meant as a flame starter with a bith of truth to it. While SNES did generally sell better and sometimes look better, Genesis has 2 CPUs(Moto 68000 @7.5 and a Z80 @3.5) while the SNES has only one(Ricoh,a MOS6502 clone,@3.5); and has an advanced 3D math coprocessor/VLIW DSP. It
Genesis AFAIK also has a more vibrant demoscene.
Tt(a studio) even found a way to display 512 different colors(4096 if you include dithering/FRC) on it and also a way to play full fat .MODs on the Z80(with minimal involvment of the 68000). -
@irene I mean, I wouldn't do it but it's genuinely fun. The DMA stuff, the coprocessor, the DSP... Makes you understand black boxes.
-
I mean, it it cute(that's not the OG) but Megadrive is still superior, not to mention far more interesting(and challenging) to program for.
BTW if someone is interested in coding tricks for the Genesis, look up GameHut on youtube. -
Are you making a dungeon crawler?
Tag me when you're finished plz. -
At least this one is explainable.
"Percussive maintenance may have altered the resistive properties"
Don't kick your shit and put the HDDs in a foam or something to stop vibration. -
Is it good or bad that i expirienced an 286 compatible Cyrix hooked up to a CRT even though I'm Gen Z?
-
I don't know if this is the creepiest or the most heart warming thing I've heard today.
Gonna go with heart warming.
Welcome to devRant! -
Just flash MIUI back if you ever need warranty service.
And AFAIK warranty is pretty much useless on every phone ever and just provided because of the law. -
Sometimes that happens ehen you just go on a massive rant reading spree, I remember when I accidentally did that to Linuxxx, except that I had like 8 ++s in a row.
-
YES!
-
Good luck mastering callbacks and wait free programming.
-
Lucky you... When I had capped internet they would throttle me down to 56kbps.
-
What the actual fuck?
-
I never worked with git and I know about bisect... How can people be so uninformed about their everyday tools?
-
Manjaro MASTERRACE!
Oh, and did I mention that I use ARCH.
irene knows what's up, fuck you. -
@sam21s I know, deadlines happen and "it works" becomes good enough. I still think somebody should go in and scrub the codebase of any non standard feature use and similar. But a technician should have tested thoroughly if a version switch will brake something.
-
If your code doesn't survive a minor version bump, chances are it's not good and you should be ashamed of it.
-
Too bad NPC enviroment lacks that module and is the most commonly shipped one.
-
Not enough irony, this seems enforceable. I guess I better leave devRant at once if I'm ever to contribute.
Oh, and, God doesn't exist, you can do good, not all charities are good, better not hope for anything... -
Eeh, I know M$ did a supposed 180 and is now a good guy but I still don't want to risk lockdown or extinguishment(is that a word) of something I use. They can't deny me a service if I'm not using it...
-
Now we need one for Paladins
-
@Haxk20 My point exactly. But linuxxx doesn't care about gaming or ongoing support, only about his 6 monitors. And I still haven't found a 570 with 6 DP or HDMI ports. On top of that, new hardware might be overpriced.
-
This is standard practice in the graphics card industry. AMD designs the GPU(chip), sells it(alongside specs) to OEMs which then have to figure out where to get the memory and how to build a good VRM.
On another note:7750 is a midrange from 2012. That is SLOW. And I'm not sure how well Southern Islands are supported compared to Polaris.
Sidenote 2:visiontek is a really obsure brand. Unless you're buying used locally or from a hardware store, Id stay cautious. -
Well, I've seen DNS cache getting magically corrupted multiple times... Even if you know about networking it's still worth asking.
-
If you end up buying a pretty case, go all the way. Get plenty of that RGB puke(on the mobo,RAM,cooler,case,keyboard...) and all those braided custom lenght cables. And install a myst machine while you're at it.
Did I drive in far enough my opinion about spending on looks? -
I'm with @irene on this one.
I would take a Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic or a CM H500P MESH over something pretty.
