@SortOfTested 😅😅😅
I did not, but I'm just totally clueless on them and relying on internal and external documentation. -
The reason I started to look at it was because I was adding in the same functionality x4 basically. It already works and is fine.
I didn't want to bloat the class any further though, by essentially having the same code in the class what would have been 5 times lol. -
Dude don't even get me started about how do distracting YouTube is at work 😭
-
@thmnmlst protip there is a hide repost setting
-
Oh well fuck me for having not seen it on here yet. Guess I've been too busy being a dev and not ranting 🖕
-
@stisch man that's a great idea
-
@ChappIO hadn't researched those yet. Any particular pro/con that sticks out?
-
I vaguely remember someone claiming the image was theirs and that they were moving the switch and as opposed to taking out the cables with the super annoying tabs he cut the cables to do it at his desk later
-
@Dimon my only advice would he persistent and strive to learn as much as you can even outside of class. Coding is one of the few things I enjoy to do in my free time, and it helped me land my first job without any real experience and CS degree. I came from an IT background fyi.
-
Yea, stay in Europe.
-
@Cruiser I did a lot of reasesrch and found there were some great articles and blog posts about common questions. Just focus on what language and look for those.
-
@orijin omg that's great, the for sharing! It's like the sys.bull app I used for my IT work
-
24 on my home machine, 16 on the mac provided by work. No issues on either.
When I interned at a VFX school the machines had anywhere between 16 and 32. -
@samson cool, good to hear. I'm starting week two of familiarizing myself with ZK at my new job, also my first development gig.
-
Any progress?
-
@devJoe I enjoy trying to reverse engineer stuff
-
I'm still on energy drinks myself lol
-
@sid97 to me at least XML is really similar to HTML. Go to Udacity and check out all the Google courses that are free, one of them is specifically app development in Android Studio
-
@yutime hahaha gold. I have a BS in IT/web/programming. Kind of a generalist degree.
After 8 months of help desk I knew that's not where I wanted to be lol. -
oooohhh what game? also LOL @actionscript on your profile
-
@lemonthinking will be primarily java. front end to start, but they may be looking for me to help out with android/iOS
-
@g-m-f wasn't terrible. boss was disappointed, he liked me, thought I had a great future in IT. support was kinda soul crushing at times and development is where my passion is though.
-
congratulations!
-
idk, so I'm going to say the one that works :D
-
yup been running into reslly similar issues and it's like guys, seriously, junior, not senior 50,000yrs experience
-
thanks for all the advice everyone!!! I think I'd be a twit not to take it. I'm signing the offer letter today.
-
@Jumpshot44 very true mate. I feel more confident now that I've got a couple under my belt and missed a few silly answers I should have gotten. I've had pretty serious impostor syndrome because I don't have a CS degree but a BS in IT/Programming.
-
@Jumpshot44 usually they are!
-
@InsanityOnABun I'd love to do that for my job. We pay stupid money to piggyback of our MSP ticket board
-
@arminiae think so. it was a gift.
