I don't understand the hate for recruiters.
If the client has any idea what they want it's straight forward. If they don't recuiters are stuck asking for 20 years of Swift experience.
Hmm, I've gotten my last 3 jobs via recuiters.2 -
Apply apply apply some more.
You might need to go on 5 or 6 interviews before you get one offer. That's how it works. -
I feel JS has taken over...
The good.
Easy to learn, thus everyone knows it
The bad.
Everyone knows it, so npm has disgusting code that's used in prod.
Npm itself is still an unstable mess at times.
No one knows what it is to be a good programmer .
Dozens of frameworks every year since everyone thinks they can make it a bit better.
Classes still suck , no interfaces !6 -
As an Android user I constantly think I coulda got a better cheaper phone.
Such is life **typed from my Moto G**3 -

I love/hate Java. Why is Android dependency management such trash .
At the same time, Android development is easier than its ever been, and since I'm using Java I can transport those skills elsewhere( Objective C cough cough ) -
Me : I'll make a small game in an hour or so.
12 hours later
Me: It's almost done just need to fix some collision
6 hours later
Me: Just need to fix the speed .
12 hours later
Me : ... the game, it is not finished yet ...4 -
Recruiter logic
"We see you have JS experience, how about a job as a Senior C Embedded systems engineer, we can only pay 30$ an hour "2
