I was once at a hackathon and got into a team with some people out of the same company. They brought all of their fancy tools with them, which no one understood except for them.
They ended up doing all of the back-end and I designed a f***** logo, some slides and bored myself to death for the remaining 18 hours or so.3 -
Our security auditor is an idiot. How do I give him the information he wants?

When you're about to install a small program (54mb) and you need 1gig of dependencies. And the dependencies need two gigs of dependencies of their own. Proprietary piece of shit. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr6

If you had
one language
One framework
To code everything you want
Would you learn it or let it pass
His code is heavy,
arms are weak,

He is nervous but looks calm and ready
to go now
but he keeps on forgetting
what he wrote down.
The manager is getting loud
He moves his mouse but the bugs won't got out
They are features now
Time to ship

Former boss (fb) : What's that?
Me : You fetch JS and CSS files online. Faster.
Fb: No! Download it!
Me: Why?
Fb: What if there's no internet?!
Me: ... it's a website...18 -
For me, developing phone networks, the Client only interacts with me as the front end. If there is a problem with an upstream provider/carrier, the client doesn't know that and we take the brunt of the complaints.
So, what really sucks is when there is a lack of control. -
So I saw a lot of people showing off their servers. That's the baby we setup for our uni project. :)7

To the people saying "I need to reduce my keystrokes" when they are asked why they omit semicolon's;
It is a common delusion thinking that we spend most of our time typing, when in reality we spend most of our time gazing into the abyss thinking to ourselves "oh my god what have I done".
Anything that decreases your typing time but increases your time in the abyss is a terrible tradeoff.
