Ah sorry. Was frustrated and tried to get creative. I'm not. All the names are the same person.
Basically, when I advised him to do something because of future events he knew about (or more like should know about, since it's as much his job as mine), he missed on that. Repeatedly. Then tried to drag me in forcefully to handle it when I already have twice the workload he does.
For planning things which we're being requested for by seniors for a while now, he doesn't respond to them and when I ask for meets, it's not a prioritization issue but he makes it appear so - of the clashing items he mentioned (claiming he has 3 things calling for his attention at the same time), two were already conducted, one scheduled for later in the day (the one he's trying to drag me in), and one was lunch - which is sketchy since he went to campus (that too on the basis of this club, which he prioritizes last) and that has strict quarantine and fixed times.
I get frustrated having to drag him along -
Even the documentation is outdated in a bunch of places, or even incorrect at times (think Kotlin lines of code embedded in Java snippets).
But it's nice, with everything going on, somehow my laptop and phone don't explode -
Happy birthday!
-
@katvoira that's a good way to think about it, thanks
-
@electrineer savage xD
I'll try it -
@RememberMe + Mirror's Edge the original for the music too!
-
Both... Talking to each other :D
-
My parents are worried about this these days. They think these things radiate stuff that can kill me. I do too, so as a rule now I tuck them away before I sleep

Unrelated: the first time I made lemon juice, I didn't know how much lemon to put in. I mean if we're gonna fill like so much water there's gotta be like... 40% lemon right?
So I squeezed what is like 10-12 lemons into a glass to fill it about halfway. This in the middle of my mess where about 100 people dine. Then I happily mix water and drink the reagent, adding sugar with each taste since it didn't feel right, until I decided the mess does something funky with the lemons kept with the salad -
@divinedragon feeling loved 🥰

@champion01 Always seemed intimidating to me (it's not a snake thing tho). Will definitely try once I get a new SSD
-
Update: I found it.
Guess where it is sitting.
/usr/local/lib
When was this directory created?
Right now. Like half an hour ago.
What does it have?
Nothing but python3.7 dynamic libraries and bin.
I am now on my way to get the binary version of this library color printed, laminated and a nice huge sparkly frame to stick it on my door. Maybe I'll build a shrine around it, and then never leave my house and survive forever and forever be blessed in the glory of libpython3.7m.so.1.0
sorry -
@atheist I actually do use pyenv... for a different academic project. For this one, the toolchain we're using needs this one super special rainbow colored piece of shit called libpython3.7m.so.1.0
Tried pyenv also, didn't work, neither with the enable shared option -
@10Dev Looks _cool_!
-
@inawhile for a paragraph i related more than i should have

By Nord do you mean the VPN provider?

@jiraTicket I don't have it in me to directly say all this to him. But I've told him that I think our club is his lowest priority. He denied. I also have told him to take initiative, he recently added someone to assist with our shit without even asking me to a group, and said that was his initiative. In the previous year when we were juniors he has said in our team group that he likes bullying me (he does) because he "likes to see how I react", I've reacted angrily to this both public and privately but it has no effect. And when recruitment for this year went on, he also stated (in front of a bunch of people) when I indicated my preference that since I'm joining he's definitely joining. Since then I've personally felt I made a wrong choice, however I really wanted to work in the group, I've wanted to expand it to levels unheard of which is why I still stay
-
@thomas66777 appreciate your comment very much. A bit saddened to know this is something I would face when I join industry too (lack of accountability). I hope by the time I leave college I learn to cope with this better
-
@asgs the tail recursive function I wrote for calculating that is still running
-
@deadlyRants agree aggressively! Moving files in particular feels like magic with the contexts, everything else is also super easy to get used to!

@rutee07 there's other barriers too. But thanks for understanding my exact sentiment.
Other barriers: we work in a club which has seniors above us who do the selecting. There is no record of a kicking in the 10 years of its existence. And I don't want to impress that sort of an image onto my seniors - that I can't put up with people or something, because to them he responds. He usually bullshits, but gets away with it, so I don't think they'll take me seriously if I went to them saying all this, even if I'm actually justified by all the chats and work I've done -
@rutee07 I can't kick 1 person out of a 2 person team :(

Firefox most of the time. Using for months now and not once has it bogged the system down or had a crash like chromium-based browsers (I just find it stable, and it works well with some animation-heavy pages I've made, for personal use).
Edge since it's already there in Windows, whenever I'm in Windows (not a lot since it's on HDD and takes 2 days to fully boot) -
Print a sheet with all the vertex coordinates of the model :D
"Here, render this" -
@bittersweet firstly, I disagree (since your views are rather strong - correct, but strongly expressed) - it's reasonable for a person to be single-mindedly focused on academia/art/etc even till the age of 25 and beyond.
And it's okay for people to be specific in whom they're looking for, it's perfectly reasonable to plan your future methodically, and exercise choice when we have so many people out there.
Now, I agree. With everything. You can and should be able to practically put up with any reasonable person out there. For life. Sometimes the clicking is better than usual.
About this guy, well, asking for someone "intelligent" will definitely attract people who do consider themselves so, or will to do so, which shows a good chance of other (undesirable) traits in their personality over what is above-than-average intelligence. Also leaks about the dude's way of thinking. So he's weird.
Read a matrimonial listing in an Indian newspaper some time, you'll really enjoy it :) -
@Lensflare week-long internships :3

Waste of time and money. Just get the curriculum from somewhere and study from the Internet (freely available Stanford, MIT, etc material). Because the profs in my college do that shit anyways - use foreign materials as "source".
Won't be able to show people a piece of paper that "certifies" what you learned. But if you eventually get a chance to be heard you'll be able to show your caliber, if you have any -
Hi, disclaimer: I'm a noob
On AWS you can get a bunch of public IP addresses (how? at what cost? [0]), attach them to different network interfaces (how?) on an instance, then bind different sockets to use different interfaces on the machine, and script accordingly

@Eklavya the text isn't rendering, it's not occupying space (i.e. causing resize or overflow or displaying that something like that is happening) in the editor either. Gizmos only help a little. I'm replacing all default UI text with TMP text now (was someone else's work to begin with)
