Wow. I am so sad. I can't believe that happened. So so sad.
-
Yes. I love this. More of this please.
-
@electrineer my name is can't think of one, because I couldn't think of one. So no phones, or fones, here.
-
@Jilano her name is Fufy, she's 12 years old and full of energy 🤗
Her fur grew a little since I took this. We usually cut it shorter tho -
@Jilano (thank you, I googled it 3 times and still wasn't sure)
-
Honestly, sounds like something I would do.
-
Wait... Shit, now I know why I never have a parking space. It makes sense.

@cursee I thought asset() was deprecated in laravel 5.7? I've just been using plain html paths. But I've tried using asset() with one image, and it worked, looks like that was the problem. Thank you!!
-
UPDATE: I've been busy latelly, so sorry if I've let you all without a response. And thank you for trying to help.
I saw someone, on SO, talk about how, when they got this error, it was a route problem, and specificly talked about a 404 route (what he said: 'This happened to because I have a rule setup in my express server to route any 404 back to /#').
I remembered I had added one, so I decided to delete the route. Now I'm getting 404 errors in every file and every image, it looks like a path problem (for exemple, the path is http://localhost/img/banner.jpg/ but chrome is looking for http://localhost/product/img/...).
I still don't have time to try and fix this now, so I'll deal with this when I do have the time. -
@hitko I do only get errors in the js files, but every other page is loading the same files...
-
@BadCompany it's chrome, I don't really know what version I'll check when I get home
-
@irene it's just normal html, with some php/blade in it. But I've tried commenting that out and nothing
-
Damn, I never saw a devRanter with a total of negative ++. Here, I'll fix that 😂
-
@ausername they do. Older people have been using facebook for a while, they got used to it. They know how to do the basic, like messaging people, commenting, posting. Most of my family doesn't even know what whatsapp is, and it would take longer for them to learn, if they even wanted to learn at all. Most older people, if something becomes too complex for them, they'll give up completely and go back to what they know, in this case facebook.
-
@arraysstartat1 some are in other contries, which makes it really expensive. They also don't know how to use whatsapp
-
@Jilano @ausername I did not know I could do that. But I still have the family issue, that's the only way I can talk to some of my family, or at least know they're okay

@AlmondSauce A lof of people calling all the time with different problems, one guy had no internet so I had to go to him and check what the problem was (it was the cable, but still, in the middle of all that it seemed like a lot). One guy had a slow tablet, I spent over 30min trying to connect to his tablet because he couldn't install the app we needed. And when he did, he had to install an ad-on. 10 more minutes for that.
The phone still hasn't stopped ringing today. -
@AlmondSauce long story short, a lot of errors that needed to be fixed right away.
The worst one was a guy that had a doctors appointment, but couldn't leave until we fixed an error he was getting. I didn't know how to fix it myself so I asked for help, but somehow my co-workers though fixing another guy's phone was more important than this guy's appointment (I didn't get what the other problem was, but from what I heard I guess something with bluetooth?)
We had this error since 10:30am, but other errors started appearing as well, so we kind of left it behind (before he told us he had an appointment). To be fair, he could have told us what he did to get the error right away, but only told us once he realised we wouldn't be able to fix it in time. -
@CoffeeNcode thank you for that, but unfortunately the day is not over yet, it's just calmer now

@wowotek last year, some of my teachers would do this because they though we had already talked about this with other teachers, but they still have to talk about it so they didn't explain anything. It was only after we told them we had never talked about it that they started explaining.
Most students, if they have to talk about something twice, they'll lose interest, so teachers avoid doing this.
I don't know your situation, but I've seen this happen a lot in the past 2/3 years. Try mentioning to the teacher that you never talked about it in any class (maybe while you're pretending to get an error, say "I don't know what I'm doing, we never learned this before") -
The same thing happens in Portugal. It works? Cool, let's move on.
From my experience, when you ask the teacher to explain something, they explain it the first time/the first few times, so you have to keep asking.
If you can, try and make a mistake that not everyone will notice right away. Teachers will explain if it's giving you an error, the problem is sometimes they only explain to the person that is getting the error, so it might not help your classmates.
Try it once, see what happens. If the teacher explains it to everyone keep doing it, if not maybe tell your classmates to do this, if enough people make a mistake the teacher will think "it's easier if I just explain it to everyone". The downside is you might have to do this everytime. -
I thought it was no nut november?
-
FuckThisShit because I think it captures my every thought everytime I code something.

Don't you just love the "Millennials are killing this random industry" shit? Is my favorite.

@Jilano where I work right now, no one calls me, if they need to contact me they will come talk to me in person or, if they can't, email me. Since I'm talking about this company in particular, it is very common that someone will call (not me, but my co-workers) in the middle of the night with a problem. "outside working hours" don't exist for some of them. I think this will be my future, but I'll see when I get there.
Obviously, if I knew someone needed to talk to me at 9:30, I would be sure I was there before that time. If not, I might still take the call and go to work before what I was planing that day -
@bols59 how dare you say something like that, I'm calling the police
-
@TempestasLudi That's true, but I still don't think we should downvote a question because someone else also made a mistake and we're tired. If you're tired of asking people to edit, just ignore the question. Eventually they'll get it and start asking questions the right way
-
@TempestasLudi doesn't take long to ask someone to edit their question
-
@electrineer dude, I'm mad about this right now, let me be mad in peace 😂😂
