Learn anything you can, expand your existing skills. If you really want to focus on something new, I would work on machine learning/AI since MS has a huge hard on for it right now.
-
Dreaming is often where I do my best work. That only sucks when you wake up at 2am on a Tuesday and still have to go to work at 8am, even if you spent all night working the code
-
@ScribeOfGoD not on mine, I have page up and down, but no home/end...Didn't think about it when I purchased it or that would've been a deal breaker
-
Try doing it on a laptop with no actual home/end key...
-
Finishing a side project isn't the only reason to do one. I have so many side projects, and moody of then only exist to keep me learning. I have a couple that I want to finish and hopefully sell one day, but the rest are there for practice and a change of pace
-
The more the merrier (and more lucrative you are as a developer). Learn them all, it won't take a full year to learn one
-
My badass amazing fiancee just got me one for Christmas!! It's actually pretty sweet, and so far super useful
-
@drRoss second GitLab, free private repos are the best thing
-
@ppayter the Balmer peak is very real, I use it all the time 😁🍺
-
@donkeyScript then you start mixing and matching and combining, SNAFUBAR
-
Or PEBKAC or FUBAR or BOHICA... Any other GIs out there that have more fun acronyms?
-
I didn't know anyone left manufacturer bloatware on their machines
-
Cock womble...that may be my new insult for the month of December LOL
-
See below
-
Quit...go on unemployment, it's not worth staying in a fascist workplace like that
-
Atom was my go to till I found WebStorm
-
@tisaconundrum naaaa too much effort, just copy paste LOL
-
Wait, copy & paste just means it's reusable code...right? :D
-
You want them to make a version 13? I mean they have enough bad luck with products as it is
-
Have a friend that does, but not me
-
Isn't that the fun of it? Figuring out ways to make things work that no one has done (so it's not on SO, Google, or anywhere else)
-
@sanse1992 convincing people to not use outdated tech, staying up on latest techs, and making things people like to use any where, anytime, are just some of the reasons I like being a web dev
-
@muli353 did that! My new gig starts Monday!!
-
Ouch I think
-
Open quote, let the IDE create the closing quote, type my content inside the quotes
-
Been using that for a couple months now. It's the best replacement terminal for Windows I've seen
-
Well kids, it's taken a while, but it all panned out. I got the job. Employee #3! Nervous, excited, anxious, but ready to go. The new gig starts 7 Nov
-
Therefore...Devs are Jesus?
-
I made it to 72 GB the other day, was so proud
