Help needed: what type of goals you'd set for the upcoming perf review when you're less than a few months in a company?1
I just managed to accidentally piss off the qa lead.
Is this the moment where I start to search a new job?6
I want an ergodox but don't have the courage of spending around 400 cad for it :/
why cool things are so expensive?10
+7yrs experienced dev start at the company. I need to onboard this person.
Gave 2 simple bugs to solve, it couldn't solve either. Asked so many questions that I had to stop, solve the bugs myself and give the solution. Which raises the flag that this experience might be a lie.
This person doesn't really listen, so I don't want to tutor. Even though I can already feel that my manager will say that part of the responsibilities of being a senior as I'd like to be, is to tutor newcommers (I can count on my fingers the amount of seniors who actually tutor, but I know this is not an excuse).
Guess I will feel forever frustrated that I cannot get the damn title.7
Three things for me:
- when the mentor whom I admire said that I've kept growing non-stop and would have some discussions about how to execute things as an equal.
- when I more than doubled my salary in less than a year
- when I started to recognize code smell and bad code practices on the PRs1
Hello, I'm looking for a new machine but since I'm not very good with hardware, I'd like to ask for help:
I have a 7yrs old lenovo ideapad Y580, and even though I don't really play anymore on pc, I still would like the machine to last.
At first I was thinking about a ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 7 - Intel 10th Gen, but maybe I should go with a gaming laptop for the sake of the good specs? But then, which one? MSI, alienware ...?
And I'm a front-end, so I still need to be able to open graphic files.
