You might have more luck following the tonymacx86 guide using a vanilla installer and multibeast / unibeast
Wouldn't recommend using distros like niresh/hackintosh zone, best to use a legit installer -

If your phone doesn't meet safetynet verification it won't show up (rooting etc) try searching for android pay as well

Elementary is based on 16.04, so you won't be missing any packages, I really like the pantheon environment and the appcentre as well

If you're just starting out I'd highly recommend Ubuntu or elementary, I'd avoid the more obscure distros for now
