@jacoKotze #CapeTownProblems...
ISPs are so far behind here compared to other countries. I'm originally form Austria, where you get uncapped data for 10€ /month.. -
@iSwimInTheC it's called Automate, and doesn't require root access
-
@No-one no their comment was lack of framework. Plus I love PHP and it's a dope language for simple to intermediate dynamic applications
-
Just some healthy insanity there, all good 😆
-
I feel you man. I'm working at a company part time after college hours and it's so dope to work there, but then I go back to college the next day and the lack of enthusiasm is just frustrating..
Oh btw, a second PS is PPS not PSS, since PS stands for post scriptum.
But just do what you feel like, I know that sheet of paper you get after uni or college is "worth a lot" but follow your gut feeling -
Far from dead I would say, considering how many sites and web apps use it (apart from fucking WordPress).
Contrary to some people, I love PHP to bits ! -
Fucking savage
-
PHPStorm ftw

@katbreitin the job situation is very difficult, I won't lie. Yes, most people freelance, be it developers or designers or other creative people. That creates crazy over-saturation though which makes things worse. If you can't get into an agency or be a really good freelancer, you will have big problems.
Other than that, it's an incredibly creative city, film shoots on every corner and lots of big initiatives to back creative ideas and projects.
Definitely a hard city to work in, especially if you're not used to South African work ethics, but rewarding as well. -
@Bitkris that's how it goes sometimes. You can never expect your efforts to be appreciated unfortunately. But good that you left that place, sounds toxic.
-
@filthyranter been there
-
@DefiniteGoose devLand :) ?
-
@Torbuntu yea I guess that would be an issue.. was obviously just a brain fart :)
-
@Torbuntu pretty sure there's some devs out there that like cutting hair in their spare time, or do woodworking, or whatever. Would probably be .ore of a "hey do you wanna cut my hair?" kinds thing
-
@sam9669 will check it out!
-
@sam9669 all those crypto currencies are going nuts at the moment! I read that some guy estimates the value of Bitcoin at $10000 to 1 in 10 years and I actually believe it
-
Congrats my friend, hard work always pays off in the end :)

What is Google ? No jokes, I wanted to get an explanation from the people here first hand other than a rich card from Google @samfreeman05

Seriously though, your body is still developing at 12 years old and sleep is absolutely necessary for your body to do that. So get some sleep and come back when you're rested
-
It should say "Web Developer, literally"
-
Structured data?
-
@sam9669 but a silicon valley reference is funnier
