It's pretty neat, the docs aren't the best is some areas though. Other than that it's pretty great.

@Root I'd love to, it's a project I have in my "backlog", but idk if I'm the right person for that. I don't think I know latex enough to develop a competitor to it, most of the time I'm just copy-pasting shit from the internet until it renders correctly.

@johnmelodyme meh, I have a love/hate relationship with it. On one hand you can do pretty much anything with it, on the other it's syntax is shit, editors are mostly shit and it has a high af learning curve.

If there were a way to combine markdown's simplicity with latex's powerfulness it would be heaven.

Might be a language barrier of mine (I had to look up gatekeeping to be sure of it's meaning), but I'd say @theabbie isn't gatekeeping any more than you are. If I understand correctly, you're attacking his statement that op is not a shitposter, but you stated that he is without having any more "authority" than @theabbie. So either both of you are gatekeeping or both of you are just voicing your opinions.

Note: Authority is not the word I wanted, but it's the closest I could find. I'm not very good at putting my thoughts into words...

@theabbie nah, root has an avg of 146++ and clearly is not a shitposter. Problem is we're assuming the avg of ++ per comment is 1.5. I think in most cases it's more than that. I believe my comment ++ avg is around 2 or 3.

I prefer the cli over GUI clients, I have more control over the stuff I do and don't have to keep fiddling with menus and other shit. It did take a bit of time to get used to, but once I learned the commands I use often (add, reset, commit, log, merge, checkout, push, and a few others) it became wonderful. I don't even consider switching to a gui anymore.

Maybe you could write a little cheatsheet so you don't need to remember the commands, once you use them enough you'll start remembering them. Or just use a gui, you do you.

I use node with typescript and it's great. Sometimes TS annoys me but most of the time it's pretty good. You can use just express or go with a bigger framework like nest. I like both.

Go is also nice, but I'm waiting for generics to arrive before writing another API with it.
