@netikras I've tried on multiple occasions. I even mentioned that when I use ear buds I'm open to conversation but the noise cancelling means I'm in the zone.

Our one coffee machine for ~100 people broke a few weeks ago. We were told it would take 2 hours to get it replaced and you could feel the tension and anger in the office.

@tacticalKimchi I used to work at sea 30+ miles offshore, no cell network and satellite packages are absurdly expensive in terms of "entertainment use. Had to stuff as many ebooks, songs, and movies as I could onto my phone. Expandable memory was actually the only reason I initially switched to droid. Rocking a 128GB sd card now and it's about half full.

Debugging w/ an emulator in android studio should do the trick as well.

It's crazy how little information people will give you to try and fix an issue. I want to give a lecture for my company about passing meaningful information forward... it may take a few minutes but damn it'll potentially help solve the issue in 1/100th of the time.

SQA: there's a 500 error.
ME: Okay, which test environment were you in? Which of the hundred pages threw this, what were you trying to do? Can you send me the stack trace?

...Three days later...

SQA: how do I find the stack trace?

Me: Don't worry I found the issue and took care of it.
Also me: You fucking idiot. How are you heading a quality assurance team if you can't figure out rudimentary stuff. Your job is literally to identify issues and DOCUMENT THEM appropriately.

I feel like the back end always starts out nice and tidy with a clear focus. It's not until after the client changes their mind 8 times about 12 different "necessities" that the back end turns into the thunder-dome...

Sounds like my scrum master, zero basic technical know-how.

That one guy that comes running through in the foreground (about halfway through) is like that one piece of code you needed to remove but forgot about. He'll take hours to find and remove again...

@FoolsGambit I went to The Iron Yard but they just announced they're finishing their current cohorts and shutting down. Best advice I can give to you is start networking immediately if you haven't already. Apply to every job you remotely think you qualify for and even for those you don't think you do. Most importantly though is keep coding and learning.

I jumped into a project using Jira and after 2 months we made a full transition to IBM Rational Tools. I weep at night thinking of how much I miss Jira @meowth
