@lostinmyworld ya I actually feel quite isolated when I see some developers around me firing up Linux and stating it has "god-like" performance. The only thing that matters to me is that I want a fast Android Studio experience. If it's not significantly faster than that on Windows, I'm willing to give Linux a pass.

@DjSall I honestly want to stick with developing for Android. If I can get a noticible performance boost on Ubuntu, I am willing to give it a try.

@magicMirror wow you have been developing for Android since it's inception! I was just curious, on which platform do you use Android Studio? Mac, PC or Linux?

All my devices follow the same naming scheme. It's RT-Devicename, where RT are my initials. So my laptop is RT-HP and so on

@Orn- oh. sorry don't know about it's Specifics. I dislike atom because it's practically unusable on 1080p displays. And if you disable scaling, everything is grainy. VS Code and Sublime Text work perfectly.

The big issue I had with most other IDEs/editors is that they look horrible on FullHD screens with win10. I can of course scale down my res or use the disable scaling option, but then what's the point of having a 1080p display? Sublime Text, however looks awesome on FullHD on my win 10 laptop
