Can someone explain the benefit of serverless and how it isn’t just a buzzword used to overcomplicate the deployment process? I’m the head of IT for 2 companies and I’ll never get rid of our scalable solutions in favour of server less. I code, push to a branch, and it gets pulled on the server with any other commands I want. I’m in control of every environment and have complete version control in the cloud via the repositories.

The trick is to stop giving a fuck about everything

Emojis are awesome. They allow for quickly identifying things in UI without having to read. Apple called this friction.
Nowadays database and even terminals fully support emoji character sets. Not sure what everyone is bitching about here. -
I loled hard
-
Thanks I hate it

@helloworld sorry bro you’re wrong on this one. In the world of responsive design ‘rem’ reigns supreme.
-
Material design is ugly af.
Google has poor design taste. -
@helloworld nobody uses px for sizing anymore.
-
Bootstrap does more than just give you premade components and helpers classes. They’ve solved nearly every possible browser quirk you can think of.
Making it look nicer is a matter of editing a few SASS variables. Why anyone would want to write CSS from scratch is beyond me. -
Lol I bought one of those redragon mice off amazon for like $20. Works a treat on my MBP 16 inch.
-
Did you try hitting it with a hammer?
-
@alexbrooklyn This is just a proof of concept. Unit tests will come later. I've also coded it so that it plays nicely with PHPStorm. You get full autocompletion already.
-
@Wack This is a procedural framework. There are plenty of OOP MVC frameworks already.
-
@alexbrooklyn no offense taken
-
@alexbrooklyn why would you use a php framework if you don't speak php...
-
@alexbrooklyn why? Can you explain the benefit? The environments need their own config files regardless.

One of my biggest pet peeves:
"due date is yesterday"
FUCK YOU. -
Wired mice are superior anyways. Especially for gaming.

Why not just use azure?

This his home so hard. I used live by this bizarre "pixel perfect" mentality. I would start something, get to a point where there was a minor imperfection, and either refactor it from scratch (sometimes several times) or ditch it entirely. I think it's some form of OCD.
