It's on personal preference, I literally managed to change IDE of 40% of devs in my workplace from Eclipse to Jetbrain's IDE. While other still say Eclipse is better while using light theme xD. They even made fun how I was using dark themes for all and later they also joined the dark side.

I think you just shouldn't assume everyone uses Nodejs for building REST API, also in terms of scaling it's not up to framework it's on the team/individual how they are building it.

I had exact same thought month ago, I also have 2year of exp fortunately my first rise was 75% of salary and after year now I got 45% rise(it was on performance basis). The only good thing is the dependency as I handle critical parts of projects, projects which are most important they just can't kick me or even let me leave even if I get job with higher salary they will instantly give me more and will tell me to stay.
(Also I don't earn too much as I'm in India too).

Well for me it's always instructor saying multiple times , "This is basic you can skip this chapter if you want as this is for people who don't have any knowledge about basics" or "I know I'm repeating this many times".

I think it depends on instructor, I've found many who always tells before starting that this is only for people who don't know basics or even they give multiple references to learn basics.

She knows. But I already rant about PHP too much Infront of her so she always asks me "Why you're still doing it? You don't like it right? When the hell you're going to switch from current company?"

I personally don't hold grudge against PHP but it's just I don't like few things like WordPress or Magento 1(in architectural way), SugarCRM before v8( maybe I don't like it much still).
