-- bomb time?

I was streaming development last night's on twitch and it took me a good 5 commits to trigger a working build in bitbucket pipelines -- with a config file I've used before. This is definitely a real issue.
-
Aha. Server code generated by swagger can do this before you finish stubbing it out. I recently ran into this as the developer :)
Client-side app developers were a little over-eager and started testing features I hadn't marked as complete yet, and complained that "well, everything is working (code 200), but I'm getting an empty response!"
"Well, if the response is empty, it doesn't match the spec. If it doesn't match the spec, file a bug."
Bug gets filled. Reporting on features I'm not set to deliver for another 2 weeks. SMH
Easy phonecall to clear up, but it's not fun to waste time 🙂 -
I used wired headphones too, until I started working with multiple computers and a KVM (Synergy).
Now I have macros set up where my headphones can automatically follow my mouse from one screen to the next without unplugging a cable. Neat. Wouldn't be possible without bluetooth. -
@junon you'd have to `pip install` it!
-
It's kinda hard to dig out of thousands of LTS nodes. I'm migrating them all to use wireguard as fast as I can, but they shipped before wireguard was a thing, so I need to do kernel upgrades....it's fun 🙂

Best rant I've seen in recent history
-
Hope you're paying attention once again, new patches drop Feb. 4th
-
So funny I'm only just now seeing this. That's my site 😂
-
@uyouthe yeah and their phone support is awesome. I've never had a problem they couldn't fix in under 5 minutes.
-
I'm partial to linode myself.
-
@cafecortado I know they do on desktop, do they on mobile? I don't remember. Could also be an older version of the app.
-
Here's my guess: the 720p video is 60fps. The quality might be lower but they're sorting by required bandwidth not by quality.
-
Congrats. Actually I recommend looking more into the Arch Build system and installing an AUR helper before you move on. If you think a lot of tools are avail in the offical repos, just wait until you see the AUR!
-
I use gorilla/mux in golang. It's kinda like Python's flask, but for go. Love how fast go is (if you do it right!)
-
@myss please clean your fan vent. It's giving me anxiety.
-
This is a huge problem for me too on Spotify premium. The Android app seems to die whenever I'm playing to another device, using my phone as the remote.
Disable battery optimization for Spotify. That's worked for me in the past. -
Wholesome twist

@p100sch ...but now they're on the two child policy just like the meme says.
They can have one or two children if married. -

@hashedram I just bought my own keyboard. I'll take it with me if I leave, it's mine!

@LlamaMan got it first but in case you wanted a link... -
Alternatively, devs who spend hours and hours trying to figure something out for themselves when the problem isn't new and there's already an accepted solution provided by the collective of humanity and has been vetted by experts should be fired for wasting their employers' time. Also, they're stuck-up jerks who spend more time sitting on their thumbs than coding.
I'm not sure why everyone thinks it's so cool to act so arrogant. Especially in the context of this post. I never made a claim to be on of the devs who uses SO as a crutch, yet that's the assumption. I never said I don't read man pages, but there we go too. (Have you read any of my posts? I literally bought readtfm.org and redirected it to the arch wiki...)
Some problems seem so commonplace that it's obvious there should be an accepted way of doing things, even if the docs don't include use cases. Looking at source code tells you how something works, but then you have to assume how it was meant to be used and that that won't change in future updates. There's nothing wrong with looking up what you don't know so you don't have to reinvent the wheel.
Man, the toxicity on this platform is rising. Hope you guys are able to quit jerking yourselves off long enough to not be fired today. You must be a joy to work with. -
@EngineerCoding yep, sometimes I don't look at my screen either, I just mash my keyboard until the compiler doesn't complain.
-
@EngineerCoding That assumes the documentation is even worth reading.
-
Ah they're back.
