@bettehem the point is that it’s about a website running on IE, not about a website running on the internet. Unless you’re saying that IE is the same thing as the internet. So you run your website on IE just like you ride your bike on the road. Website = bike. IE = road. You don’t ride the road, you ride the bike.
-
@bettehem you’re forgetting the intermediate step of the website though. It’s specifically about IE not the entire internet.
-
And then upvotes meant nothing and nothing was ever the same again.
-
XPS?
-
@tizo feels bad man
-
Wouldn’t the browser be the road? You ride the bike on the road just like you run your website on the browser.
-
@stop well technically boilerplate code is useful as it’s needed in most projects. But I know what you mean. Just had a moment of wanting to be that person.
-
Yeah and a lot of houses still have lead paint in them. Does that mean lead paint is ok?
-
All just the worst. Lol.
-
@Floydian concatenation?
-
Unless I’m looking at the wrong thing, that’s an integer with leading zeros, not an array.
-
Windows 10 is solid in my mind. Better than 7 and especially 8.
-
At first I thought this was a joke but then I remembered that jokes are supposed to be funny. Instead it seems as though you just typed a random thought.
-
devRant logo isn’t smiling though.
-
@Stuxnet ok
-
@jschmold your “proof” is a stretch at best. But the great thing about America is that you have the right to be wrong.
-
It sure can’t hurt.
-
@Stuxnet I don’t care who’s looking at my screen so much as I hate when someone sneaks up on me. I jump a foot into the air every time. Good idea.
-
That’s fair. I’ve only dealt with an extended period of insomnia once in my life and it was torture. My heart goes out to you. Exercise helps me a lot with regulating my mood and sleep. If you don’t already, I’d give that a try, even if it’s just a walk after dinner. Best of luck.
-
Looking at your phone doesn’t make it any easier. Actually, the blue lights from your phone decreases melatonin which makes it harder to sleep. Try reading. I’m usually out within 20 mins of opening a book.
-
@jschmold she didn’t say men are lazy. She called the poster lazy. If you’re going to read comments, get more out of it than just what you’re looking for.
-
Sounds like a waste of a teachable moment.
-
Array length starts at whatever you initialize the array length to be. It could just as easily start at 2 or 3 or 4 or ...

As a native English speaker with a degree in English, I can tell you that your English is spot on. No worries there.

@Benedikt google it. From Oxford dictionary: ‘Digit’ is the technical term which covers fingers, thumbs, and toes in humans, and similar appendages in some animals. The thumb is the short, thick first digit of the human hand. The other four digits are our fingers.
I will concede though that Oxford dictionary conceded that the connotation of finger includes the thumb but the denotation does not. -
@Benedikt see my previous comment.
-
Somebody has to be the person who points out (with a finger?) that the thumb, while a digit of the hand, is not a finger.
-
@Bingy ah. That makes sense. Thanks for the education.
-
@linuxxx besides the one on the top of all of our heads?
-
I know it’s not the point of this but around where I live in USA, I almost never see urinals without dividers anymore.
