WordPress is like Windows, people use it because other people use it, stuff brakes when you update and the only solution for Debbuging is doing a fresh install
-
@jonatan you should be happy if you look at old code and feel ashamed, best way to know that you have improved 😉
-
Congratulations, never stop learning! Self taught myself and made a living for 7 years out of it now 😊

Then use something else.

Glhf, just got a new Dell xps 15 and have to run on Intel grafics to get multiple screens working
-
@Hakash yes I know. Doing like this makes the customer area public property... I don't want to have this blood on my hands 😕
-
Guess I fucked up extremely trying to flame my PM with a bad name in my db, now this is a flame op thread

The token in this case is the password which will be sent in an URL to the user, then they click the URL to login. If the user looses the link we can send it again, and instead of generating a new password we apparently need to send the exact same URL. Because it would confuse the user to get a new URL even if they lost the old one..?

Like someone else said, it pays the bills. Working with a nice framework like laravel makes it a lot more fun also. And the amount of examples and issues posted by other people guarantees you always find a solution. This is the biggest let down working with newer languages, you have to solve the issues yourself

Since steam got a Linux client I have been using Linux full time at home, feelagoodman to play some dota 2 without having to deal with shitty windows
-
@ggromx yes it was illuminati that created adhd. We that have had extreme difficulties our entire lives are just lazy. The drugs that enable us to live normal lives are evil.
-
Recently started takes medication tho, and that really remove all the negative parts, but the good ones stay ☺️
-
I got adhd, failed school but in the same time programed at home. Got an simple web dev job and worked my way up from there. It's both negative and good. When it comes to tasks that are not challenging or repetitive my boss has to baby sit me for it to get done. But when it comes to new exiting and challenging tasks I am very focused and a quick learner. Code quality is suffering tho, since solving the issue is the fun part, and doing the detail work is boring, so shortcuts are often taken.

Insert your "and that is why you use Linux" joke here
-
Unless you are carving your code with a knife to a stone brick, I don't see how missing semicolons can be an issue.

@julianmd lol, the company is a customer to us, I don't work there

Delivering services for a big company in my country, have to support ie8 because this company is using it, when filtering in analytics we can see that it's basically only the company itself that visiting with ie8...
-
@lquessenberry indeed, and when doing it yourself the documentation is not the best, and a disaster for wocommerce. Everytime I Google some issue the only results are idiot questions about plugins etc
-
Used regex for 10 years without understanding it...

Vilka tjuvar!

Some people have (fysical) windows in their office and glossy screens. Unless you want to stare at your own dumb face all day, a light theme is a must.

But they are not secrets if they are in a book anyone can read?
