NVM for the win.
It's def troublesome at times. -
A place to express our emotions, as most of the time we need like-minded people to understand ours. 🤷♂️ That kind of covers it to me xD
-
@IHateForALiving it works on wine. But it's not officially supported.
-
Well.. Catch-all literally means ...
:v -
@F1973 It's just remains of the fact that I haven't really worked a day this year, as when you do what you like/love: it's not really work is it? \o/ :p
-
Meh, I still have 30 free days to pick within 73 work days. I'll work it out. haha
-
@F1973 Never gonna give... ok
Nah, healthy tired.
It's a good mix of projects.
Some bullshit WP on the one side,
while working on platforms and business growing/advice tools (which I like) on the other side.
All while actually getting some respect for my work. -
@F1973 Or.. you're too tired for it haha
Complaint level went waaaay down though :D -
Their cache is stuck.

Prepare for Hetzner going down during the most random time, and seeing on the status page it's a random switch that's gone haywire.
All for Hetzner here; honestly... but: do spread the load over multiple locations/load balance :)
Also, regarding the same provider, they have a history of being abused for spam purposes. Dearly check the status for those servers/IP's :D -
@F1973 Welp :D
I'll check in once in a while..
Nothing to rant about atm :D -
@F1973 Haha, I reinstalled devrant like a week ago... I'm not very active, quite busy
- Changed work
- still bald
lol -
@metamourge no private either xD
-
Fap in public (◠ᴥ◕ʋ)
-
Look up Matt Stauffer's video on junior/medior/senior - I love it, fuck those naming schemes
-
@xewl Another thing; sleep well and keep looking out for your own health, it's not worth working harder than your body allows for, especially in the long term :/
-
@sandeepbalan I'm a Web Application Developer, full-stack (Mainly PHP, Vue, Sass)
I'd use git -correctly- as versioning, decent VPS providers, Redis, documenting to a point that new devs have a source of information, tests for both front- and backend
idk I need to unblur a few of my terms in the following months. At least I now have a chance to do it ;D -
@sandeepbalan Well, short story a bit longer:
I wasn't able to do my actual job at times, doing stuff related to but not the actual job, let alone grow or learn. I was "stuck" in a certain loop. They weren't able to make it possible for me to expand on my territory or give me the "ownership" I already took on the platform, they couldn't actually give me what I was aiming for. Everything was at a slow pace. Growing pains were ignored, feedback was put into a void instead of changing or working on a better way. Working together? Nah. Innovation was minimal at best. I sweared a lot over the years, "you shouldn't actually do this, this way" and stuff. It was decided to let me go, but they still asked me to stay a week before I left. I was kinda struck by the descision already, already actively looking for a new opportunity for months. So I said I wanted to pursue the descision.
I'll be joining a company where I can set standards, learn stuff, multiple projects, ...
Prosper. -
@sandeepbalan Because they saw my growing unhappiness, it's all arranged with a positive outcome in mind ;)
-
@sandeepbalan Kicked out of a job I was doing for 5y, got a bit unhappy hanging in a non-growing environment; luckily starting a new opportunity where I can actually grow again :D Thus,, it's all for the better
-
Until february, my weekends and weeks are a bit blurred on the edges.. :D
-
Went to bed, sorry guys xD
Yeah it's the Twitter announcement of Airlock, n1 @0x2142 -
Rookie numbers, @Nanos

Okay, one thing though... WP is made with PHP, but PHP is faaar more than the clusterphuck WordPress has made from it to make it work. It's coming from what PHP used to be, but surely isn't anymore.. Broaden your knowledge, just don't bash on PHP when your only link with the language is "WordPress"
-
I just stopped worrying and now have 2 systems with 64GB just to see when it explodes...
-
I didn't stay sane. I left.
-
Mollie, maybe. Depends if their supported methods suffice for you.
-
"WordPress for webshops"
wait..
haha -
...
-
@Wisecrack Welp, my sarcasm is underrated xD
