@netikras Thats funny. I am thinking about getting an appointment for eye tests.
-
@netikras You asked my weekend plans. Thats why mentioned about eye tests. :D. and the depression part. I like it. Its funny for me.
-
Got drunk Friday evening, friends birthday party, fell asleep on his couch sometime into the night.
Was woken up by 2 of my friends dancing to this one song that goes "Wake me up, before you go" or something.
Friend 3 did the weird belt slapping thing.
Perfect morning. -
@netikras Isnt it Passive aggressive. I mean its totally allright . I get this most of the time from internet. so no need to apologize. Are you serious with the depression thingy?
-
@Ranchu Ok. You won the "fuck this weekend" award. It will be added to your profile by on or before next week if you keep doing it.
-
@sandeepbalan I wasn't being passive aggressive. I truly forgot I asked you and I appologise for my comment.
-
@netikras it does not matter. forgot that. I am just asking. seriously are you taking meds for depression?

xewl41265y@sandeepbalan Kicked out of a job I was doing for 5y, got a bit unhappy hanging in a non-growing environment; luckily starting a new opportunity where I can actually grow again :D Thus,, it's all for the better
-
xewl41265y@sandeepbalan Because they saw my growing unhappiness, it's all arranged with a positive outcome in mind ;)
-
xewl41265y@sandeepbalan Well, short story a bit longer:
I wasn't able to do my actual job at times, doing stuff related to but not the actual job, let alone grow or learn. I was "stuck" in a certain loop. They weren't able to make it possible for me to expand on my territory or give me the "ownership" I already took on the platform, they couldn't actually give me what I was aiming for. Everything was at a slow pace. Growing pains were ignored, feedback was put into a void instead of changing or working on a better way. Working together? Nah. Innovation was minimal at best. I sweared a lot over the years, "you shouldn't actually do this, this way" and stuff. It was decided to let me go, but they still asked me to stay a week before I left. I was kinda struck by the descision already, already actively looking for a new opportunity for months. So I said I wanted to pursue the descision.
I'll be joining a company where I can set standards, learn stuff, multiple projects, ...
Prosper. -
@sandeepbalan I have them prescribed for this weekend to have if I'll need them, yes. I've managed today w/o popping a pill [kept my mind and hands busy] but I might need them on Monday when I'm back to work.
-
@xewl Seems intereting. This can be happend to anyone i guess. What would you rather do if you get another chance from beginning? or in another word what advices you can share. Whats your proffession again?
-
xewl41265y@sandeepbalan I'm a Web Application Developer, full-stack (Mainly PHP, Vue, Sass)
I'd use git -correctly- as versioning, decent VPS providers, Redis, documenting to a point that new devs have a source of information, tests for both front- and backend
idk I need to unblur a few of my terms in the following months. At least I now have a chance to do it ;D -
Plergh. It started with chores as it always does and then I put myself to study (I suck at programming, so I have to study and practice programming more often than a good programmer).
Then I watched The Flintstones. Now I'm back to studying. By the end of the day, I then want to watch three movies I intend on watching. -
@Creep The classical answer that indicates the question wasn't read properly. :P

-
@sandeepbalan tragically sour life's lemons. It's personal and I don't feel like sharing outside my family. At least one ranter knows what's it about - that's enough.
-
@sandeepbalan Professional Software Developer with one year of experience but with the problem of truly sucking at Software Development, therefore having to study and practice it more than other developers.
-
@netikras and who is that ranter? Also let me guess that tragic moment. Wife won lottery and kicked you out
-
@CaptainRant In which part of teh software developement are you currently having issues? whats your key skills ?
-
@sandeepbalan Oh great, another interview. k.
Current skills:
- a basic understanding of programming
- basic db skills
- basic networking
- basic [insert_typical_skill] etc
I suck at teh:
- logic theory
- data structures
- databases
- architecture
- algorithms
- networking
Jack of all trades, specialist of none. Well, hm, my specialty is analysis and documentation, but shrug. [Edit] Oh right, I forgot, I'm also a specialist at the Windows operating system. -
@sandeepbalan ... Jokers gotta joke, right? Nvm. Keep doing your thing and I'll stick to mine.
-
@netikras No. I mean i was just being sarcasting just for the sake of the situation. I am sorry for hurting your feelings. Truly apologizing. I know it is very hard for you. I had issues. In fact i am still going with issues. But instead of thinking the bad side i keep remember myself with a small tiny good side whenever i recall the things i had gone through and hope for the best. I know its easier said than done.
-
@netikras You may have bigger issues haunting you. I may suggest you that happiness ( inner peace) comes from you. It is not dependent on external matter. (Cliche quote). But if it helps ,that would be a great thing.
-
@CaptainRant Seem like you figured out both. Now i cover it. Come back here with full confidence. All the best

Pretty Gucci, heading to very quiet library (rare to find where I live) to finally spend more time learning c++
-
@sandeepbalan I already have the mindset. Thank you for your concern and wishes.
