Demolishun35049324dThey tell you? I noticed a dude was gone two weeks after he was fired/left. I asked a colleague and he said he was gone. I thought he was on vacation or something.

gitstashio300324d@TheBeardedOne What are the reasons for which a dev gets sacked usually ? Speed of delivery / performance ? Or just because they don't like him ?
-
TheBeardedOne3130324d@gitstashio in the case, so far as I know it's because the guy went more than 400% over the estimated time to fix an issue and was already on his final written warning. Firing people is whole huge pain here

TheBeardedOne3130323d@jestdotty yea.... I've been here just over a year and the cracks are starting to show. Don't get me wrong there are definitely some good people in the mix but overall it's just getting worse and worse. Like a guy who is going on leave this coming week said on his way out the door "I'm just a teams message away if anyone needs anything"
That's not normal or healthy. I also don't want to be the guy bugging someone on leave but that's what management expects

Do they think we're stupid or something? We all know the guy got sacked. We're required to give a calendar month's notice. So when there's a same day resignation, we all know
