My Dad keeps the foil on everything and it drives me mad

A friend of me did this once with his S8. His reason was, to protect it till his phonecase arrives and that it won't get any scratches.

@JFK422 my dad also does it "for protection" but I've seen him use a phone with the foil it was shipped with for over a year until it was all scratched up and going off on some edges and dirt was under it

Peeling that shit off is so satisfying...

Some of them may actually block of vents and cause overheating. Plus they get all "bubbly" after a while if you don't remove it. my first reaction to new hardware is to remove them

@SoulSkrix foils can be of different materials, there's also aluminium foil

@SoulSkrix so how do you say it then other than foil, I mean in the case of the picture above I can't say screen protector, because it's not the screen it covers ...

Some of my friends try to do that with their phones. So i just give them bubbles by peeling it half and force them to remove 😈😈😈

I would just tear it off 😎😎 that will drive him mad too! Payback time! Always do it with my wife 😈😈

@JFK422 I had a teacher that left the plastic on his Nexus 5 because he thought it was a screen protector...

The thing is that the plastic had the word "Nexus" on it.. so he couldn't see most of his screen

Whole of India does that.

My wife does this too.

Usually it's like:
Me: there's foil on the device
Wife: leave it, I will rip it off. I like doing it.
Few months later...
Me: Hey there's still foil on the device
Wife: leave it, leave it, I will rip it off.

@SoulSkrix you must know it better than us non native speakers :) I just used the first word that came into my mind and it was a direct translation from both of my mother tongues which use a very similar word to foil for plastic

I had that thing on ma previous phone.... It was so well placed and discreet, I only realized it was their after a year when the first bubble showed up x)

I bought a new graphics card. Removed all the plastic but forgot one at the side of the cooler. I can see it right now through the glass. I'm somewhere between madness and being too lazy to open the case and simply remove it 🙈

@Lahsen2016 I call it "plastic film" or "the annoying plastic thing that pisses me off and I remove immediately" and most people know exactly what I mean 😂😂

This is one of my peeves too!!! I hate when someone where’s a watch with it or leaves it on things... it’s like dude remove the fucking packaging and enjoy your overpriced product fully... to me it’s like wearing clothes with the tags still on them. :P
