I've no idea what else it does. I can't remove it completely as it only gets reverted to 'factory version'.
I'm using a Lenovo phone. Some dude in a forum posted it's on all Lenovo mobiles.
Hmm... -
@saintograph then you can't do much honestly. Either root and delete it, or bare with it
-
I believe the big "Disable" button can disable it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Then you'll just have to watch out what is no longer working.

@FrodoSwaggins if he unlock his bootloader he will lose validation key or something like that, so that if he goes to repair center of Lenovo when they don't find the keys even if the bootloader was locked again, they'll know device had it unlocked thus voiding his warranty.
But if he was able to root without unlocking his bootloader which is pretty much not possible or hard to do then yes a simple re-install of the system will do it -
Also a little psa from a fed up android dev: dont fucking buy lenovo or samsung phones bc they are a pain to develop for
-
@BindView never tried lenovo, but hell ya Samsung phones are fked up and I really hate testing on them :\
Especially S8 + -.- -
@iSwimInTheC I've disabled it, rebooted, and the process remained dormant the past hour.
-
@BindView Lenovo is fucking shit when it comes to getting OS updates as well. LG or Google for me.
(I see a lot of kick ass phones that I would love to get, but most are never supported by my provider.) -
@jhh2450 i just went for the cheapest noname thing and flashed a new bootloader and a rom when it was out of the box
Now my front facing flashlight doesnt work, thank God -
yugi9557y@saintograph it wont be soon. To root lenovos you have to register some lenovo thingy and wait for 15 days to just unlock bootloader. 15 days is like you will eventually forget about it and use the phone.
Anybody know what this service running in the background on an android device does?
It sent me a plain text notification, which disappeared and sent me to a phishing site the moment I tried clearing it. I've forced killed the process for now.
A quick search online doesn't reveal much information, except for a dodgy site claiming it's spyware named StealthGenie.
