@Forside why? For example those things as described by @linuxxx will not happen, when you develop locally.

Other reasons:
* developing locally is faster, since you don't interact with a remote server
* your versioncontrol shouldn't be on the server
* all developing dependencies shouldn't be on the server
* you will break something on prod, locally it wouldn't matter
* you are not dependent on internet connection, to be able to work

are these enough reasons, or should i continue?
