if you want it done that way then fucking do it yourself because that shit makes no sense to me, and you have not adequately made your case to me as to why it makes sense, and since I'm writing it it seems prudent for it to make goddamn sense to me.

    After a while, you'll get used to it. If they pay well - just take the money, warn them about consequences and make sure to say "ha-ha toldya" once they come back to fix the problem they caused themselves. :)

    i had so much of this at my last job it wasnt even funny, and even when i was right i still felt like no one was even coming close to valuing my opinion

    Micromanagers are the worse. They should tell you *what* they want, not *how* they want you to do it. Autonomy to solve presented problems your own way is one of those big job satisfaction levers
