MS Teams sending an email to inform me about people which "are trying to reach me", one hour after I already talked with those people via Teams chat.
🤦‍♂️

We need somebody to publicly tell Microsoft how many tons of CO2 is polluting by sending these trash emails.

Disabling activity emails was probably the first thing I did in teams settings

@electrineer I’ve disabled them now, too.

Those emails are useless anyway because whenever I’m online to see the email, I’m also online to see the notification in Teams.

Since they don’t work reliably anyways, it’s a no brainer to disable them.

Seems like they are designed for a person who visits Teams twice a year.

@electrineer and naturally MS assumed that the majority of users would be like that and made it enabled by default.

@Lensflare maybe they had reason to be pessimistic

@electrineer "We have invested so much time and money into the servers and infrastructure to make this notification service possible. There is no fucking way that we won’t force it down the throat of our users by making it opt-in"

@Lensflare "Everyone will hate this pos so much that they avoid it like covid. We need to send notifications to everyone via snail mail if someone makes the mistake of trying to reach them via Teams."

@electrineer "and as a bonus we have a good excuse to ask for the user’s private address"

We have been trying to reach you about your sex machine's extended warranty...

@Lensflare most microsoft products don't work reliably.

@Demolishun "what is the lube reservoir out again? Is it squirting? It's squirting lube again isn't it? Alright fine, cash out my warranty and call the diesel sex machine mechanic."
