When your teams lead developer still uses unsecured FTP to deploy websites, does not use git or svn and would rather build their own cms than use an off the shelf product.. I can't help but learn bad practice's as a junior!

There are upsides to building your own CRM, I have built several, it's all about understanding the clients requirements and offering them it in a bespoke package. A lot of the CRMs I've built are a lot faster and easier to use than off the shelf alternatives as it only has what the client needs.

I've learned to slowly integrate my own needs, habits, and workflow into my projects when I can. Now I'm teaching senior devs some things! But I work in a flexible environment so this may not be as possible for everyone
