Linux, don't care how frustrated you are, stop waking my laptop in the middle of the night and draining it's battery without consent.

I don't think that's Linux's fault. My Windows 10 desktop does the same.

Yeah, Linux tend to do that; I have heard it's a driver issue or something which can't be fixed...idk..?
I just switched from windows and honestly my battery is getting drained like a motherfucker

@deadlyRants none of my windows or macOS machines do that. It's probably an issue of Linux + Apple fuckery.

How about just turning your laptop off for the nights?

@justasithlord Oh yeah, drivers can be crap on some devices. E.g. a Surface Pro with Linux can't go into sleep, it will just go to sleep and instantly wake up in an infinite loop.

If you have a problem like that I'd recommend hibernation. Yes, it takes a bit longer when waking up but it works. And if it has an SSD it's pretty fast either way.

@okkimus oh ok, didn't know that was even an option...

@deadlyRants oh I'll try hibernation next time, I hope it works
    Thanks

This never happened to me on Linux, I swear, for using it more than 3 years. On the other side...Windows on my laptop wakes up every fucking time, every!

On Windows I think there is a setting in battery settings to prevent that.
