My parents think laptop is only for playing games.
I don't even have a game installed in my laptop.
They start telling me "stop playing, do something else" whenever I sit in front of laptop for more than 30 minutes.

It was same for me 2 years ago.

As an Indian, I hv been through this. Not only from mom, whole family and whichever relative coming to visit us have the same fucking question "what are you playing?" and "Is it academic related?".
And all the questioning vanished once I started to earn much from home freelancing, Started to pay my tuition fees, won a couple of contests related to programming 😂 and now they won't disturb me.
Playing "Ain't gonna die tonight" in repeat mode, headset on and now thats a clear sign to say shut up and leave me alone. ✌️

I'm pretty sure this is the situation of every Indian ! 😂

Maybe u should show them results of your projects (if u have)? Try explain what are u doing and let them see what progress u do with this laptop. It will help, i guess
