From personal experience what laptop would you recommend for developing?(No macs)

    I'm using Thinkpad, still the best trackpoint I could get - if you occasionally need mouse.

    My Parents and some friends use Thinkpad. I've heard much good about Thinkpad but the mousepad is terrible

    As others have said, Lenovo ThinkPad. I have a T440s that I got second hand off eBay and I adore everything about it (except second hand battery). Not too big, not too small, good keyboard, solid build, long battery life (with a new one apparently). Has a fingerprint scanner which I thought was awesome and have never really used too :D
