Hey guys, I know there are a lot of germans on here and I just wanted to ask if any of you know of any free resources to learn german?(not superficially but like to be able to read and write german)15

Hey guys, I have a low spec machine with these specs:
32 GB SSD
4 GB RAM
Intel Pentium processor 1.66 GHZ 64 bit
I want to install a lightweigh Linux distro, could you recommend one.
P.S: Currently I am thinking of Bodhi or ArchLabs.4 -
I just watched the gameplay for Cyberpunk 2077 and I'm super excited for it, CD Projekt Red did a fine job in everything in it, any cyberpunk fans on here?17

I'm kind of in a bit of a conundrum.
Abou 6 months ago, a friend and me were speaking about how bored I was and how I don't have any new ideas for projects, and he gave me one, and it is the basis of the project I am currently building, yet I changed one of the variables he had gave me as to appeal to a wider audience, yet now as I resumed work on it, I think it is a good idea and would make me some money( I'm not writing about this grounbreaking idea that would make me millions, hell, I'm not sure it will be successfull, but it might make me some money to help me when the time comes to go to university) but I am a firm believer in open-source and I don't know if I should make it open source and rely on the donations and let them modify the code, or just charge for it?
If it were another case, I wouldn't think twice before making it open source yet I probably won't be able to afford uni and this would be good for me and help me along with the freelancing jobs I am starting to work on.
What would you guys recommend I do?2 -
I use the Parrot OS linux distro and I think my built in python interpreter is broken, when I run a .py program from the command line, I get errors that I don't get when I run them in pycharm, why is this happening?8

Hey guys, this question isn't really dev related, I just want to know some of the devs on here's musical tastes, so please commemt your favorite music genres, bands...etc4

I found a python virus online a while ago that just corrupts your .py files, so I wanted to do something similar and after writing it I ran it on my pc, it corrupted all of my .py files.27

Actually finishing a project.
I am a person who gets a lot of ideas for projects I want to work on, then I start writing the code for them, then I reach a wall, stop and restart the cycle all over again.
Fuck my life.2 -
How about for once in your fucking life, before saying that my code is wrong because it is giving you errors, you fucking check to see if you have the semicolons in place

My introduction to programming and computers is quite different than most as in I didn't start programming first, I started by taking electronic parts from my toys and repurposing them or using them in different things, we had a computer I used to play games with but at age 7 my father died and my mother needed money so she sold it, the next laptop I got was at age 11 and then I started coding.

Thanks to you too WilsonMendes
I am not complaining but why are all these people suddenly upvoting my posts all of a sudden?4 -
As a person who spends 99.99% of his time at home if not at school programming, reading, and watching netflix, what can I do to develop my social skills?36
