    Is it a bad thing that i started with(and currently using) debian?

    Debian is lovely, don't worry ;) @J-2FA @release

    Any distro with a working installer. I live in the shell and browser. The rest is fluff

    Here you can see what is the main problem with linux. Too many options. Even when you are at the end there are still three option to choose from.

    @Majstr You misspelled problem, I think you meant "advantage".

    If you want a single option, just install Linux Mint. There, problem gone.

    Agree, we love Linux exactly for this freedom and variety @bittersweet

    We, what about common user. When he see that chart he is already installing windows.

    Instructions unclear! I ended up with Raspbian Lite on Raspberry Pi for TVHeadend, DietPi on Orange Pi for HomeAutomation, Debian on my NAS, DD-WRT on the router and OpenATV on my SAT receiver. Computers with UI are all Macs for a reason. 😜

    EDIT Server @work runs on RHEL because of SAN

    Try deepin or elementary os, you will love them. Easier then windows, more beautiful than Mac OS. @Majstr

    And remember WE were all common user at the first day we tried Linux @Majstr

    @Pavr +1

    This is even true for embedded systems: If it's not running out of the box I'll spend not more than 15 minutes to fix their problem before I go "NEXT"

    @mshokoohi I started out as a common user with a Commodore64, then Slackware and Debian, and then eventually tried Windows 98, dismissed it and went back to Debian.

    Eventually I had a Win2K and then WinXP computer for gaming, but it was always my secondary machine.

    I had to make this decision today for a non-dev person. Looking at this chart I am glad I made the correct choice installing Linux Mint on his computer. 😀

    Mint is great, especially with KDE desktop @cafecortado

    @cafecortado If you want to try something else you can always look at this easy overview:
