After a fresh windows install: it literally downloads every driver
After a fresh mac install: you get prosecuted because you didint pay 100$ at an apple store to have it reinstalled
After a fresh linux install: time to scavenge alternatives to these 5 year old drivers -
I only had to search for the more obscure ones like when i had a wifi+bt chip integrated together but meh

I just use bog standard Ubuntu and have no issues when it comes to BT+WiFi chips, they work perfectly out of the box -

Solus is a pretty good choice as well.

Windows isn't too bad doing this, I use a multi installer and back up all install files for programs I REALLY need. I've had Linux break a few times and remove programs I needed :(

bahua128017yThere is no such thing as an operating system on which I do not spend weeks and months tuning settings, updating configs, installing software, and otherwise just making it my own. That is not at all a shortcoming of any particular operating system. The particularly is with me, and I'm fine with that.
