I receive 20 emails a week from Expert Indian coders and SEO gurus wanting to redo my site and get me to the top of google.
-
That's the nature of competition and the free markets, isn't it?
Don't build a wall, gents 😉 -
Most of fiverr are "John Smith" running around with faces from ads, you think they arent going to just lie in some way? (proxy, ..)
-
When trump can grasp what coding is. This would be kind of words he would say :p
-
And probably he would hire Indians to build it. And claim that they would pay themselves when this would happen.
-
Hey buddy, idc about the problems you have with India, I have many too but don't you swear at my country coz once I start with the bhenkelodeGharAkarMarunga, you won't know how to respond
-
i made a bot that replies "fuck off" on emails that has keywords of "top of google search","india" and many more.. lol
-
Fradow9087y@theElectron I'll reply seriously for once, because it can seem like blatant racism when you never got burned.
First, of course it doesn't mean Indians, as a whole, are bad. There are very talented people everywhere on Earth, no exception.
The thing is, those very talented people tend to work on big local company (think equivalent of Google) that pay top dollar. You won't find them on freelancing sites at the ultra low cost advertised.
Instead, what you get on freelancing sites are incompetent people trying to squeeze money out of tech-illiterate clients. Those incompetent people will produce shoddy code that barely work. It just so happen that India is a very big country with low cost of leaving, so there are lots of those in India.
Another issue, specifically with India, is culture. There is of culture of never saying "no" in India, that leads to lots of misunderstanding and bad experiences.
After being burned, it's hard not to do broad generalizations. -
@Fradow I understand what you say.
And sorry in advance if you get hate for putting it out(I am sure there ought to be some who would take offense, neglect. You have your right to speak what you think )
I agree that there are a lot of shitty coders in india(like other places). I have seen the level of engineering education we have and the output of that "factory".
And also, its not just the freelancers, Indian clients sometimes can be equally shitty 😂😂 -
@makwayne itna bachpana aapko bhimaar bohat bimaar karsaktha hai.
That dude got some point( I agree it can burn few). Stop blind bhakti and if not solve, at least just admit the problem exists. -
@Fradow also most of these come from freelancing "agencies" that hire people in mass, and pay very less and pocket mostly what they make from contracts. That's how they afford to offer such low prices.
If its usually single freelancer, usually market weeds him out eventually. -
Fradow9087y@theElectron I don't care about getting hate though, I try to stay factual.
Yup, there are shitty coders everywhere as well, and yeah India is also known for shitty "engineering" schools. Quite a few "engineer" can't code their way out of a paperbag. Note that it's not restricted to India.
Clients can be shitty everywhere. That's how clients are.
Please note I never got burned myself with indian freelancers, I got the memo before having to learn the lesson the hard way.
Pay your freelancers well, or expect shoddy work. If the rate seems too good to be true, it really is too good to be true. -
@Fradow Amen to that. This should be sent around to all the potential clients in the world.
-
There is even a term called Banglored which literally means an Amurican being replaced by Indian to do their job.
I wonder how bad OP was fucked that he goes on to call them "Fucking Indians".
Could someone build a freelance platform that blocks all requests from fucking India for God's sake?
