I'm sorry to say this, but C# along with other Microsoft tech stack is a crap show!!

*And now I'll be bombarded by all Microsoft fans in the house!!*

    Unobligated “c# rules” post!

@C0D4 What are these C# rules?

    @EmptyStack I don’t know, we’ll have to ask a @C# dev 😂

@C0D4 Good one!! 😂 All those frameworks that they use like WTF, and what not!! Doesn't add up!!

@EmptyStack That seems to be the latest trend though for most languages though no?

These posts are only made by people insecure about the language they use.

Not to mention the typical normie portion of a post: 'Now I'll be attacked by [insert a preassumption about everyone who will try to disprove me]'.

Let me shatter your world - seeing latest stackoverflow annual statistics, future of Java looks bleak and no amount of your useless posts and possibly the worst arguments I've ever seen in a post like that will ever change that.

'the frameworks they use and whatnot' - what kind of an argument is that?
I would expect more from a fellow programmer.

@HelloUglyWorld while I agree with your statement I see no indication whatsoever about the future of Java being bleak. It continues to release new features, fixes and updates to the core language as well as the JVM. And even if for some reason the language itself dies there are still many other things that run on the JVM not to mention the support of an actual huge company (Oracle) to continue its development. If I don't worry about obscure languages backed up by a loving communitt why would I do that for a largely used ecosystem constantly upgraded and maintained by a vast army of engineers being paid to do so? All languages are beautiful man :P

@AleCx04 Well, for starters - 19.5% more people are employed in developing desktop apps in C# than in Java.

Java is only leading by 2% in Database and Data analysis - for obvious reasons.

One would have to be blind to facts to say 'Java is a better career choice than C#'

While I personally like both Java and C#, Java a little bit more for web apps over ASP.NET - I see his whole post flat out stupid, because it implies that 19.5% of professionals are wrong and his 'frameworks and whatnot' argument isn't.

@HelloUglyWorld agreed. I normally see language bashing as stupid, arrogant and immature. Think of them as one trick ponnies.

LOL! Because bashing M$ is something new in here...

@AleCx04 I'm ok with bashing languages as long as your arguments are valid.

I could talk day and night about Java's and C#'s retarded garbage collector that in both languages tends to remove shit you still use and leave stuff you don't use anymore.

@HelloUglyWorld @Alecx04, I didn't mention that Java is superior in comparison with C#. Basically I'm a polyglot programmer and I use Java, Kotlin, Scala, C++ and python regularly. But recently, I used C# for a while and I felt that they have done a cheap imitation of Java. And I'm not saying Java is superior now. But what I'm saying is, when compared to other languages in programming world, C# is way behind!!

i disagree. i would like an actual rant listing your specific reasons. most likely i would disagree with it still, and write the same thing, only maybe prefixed with "i understand, but ".

still, i'm interested in your specific reasons. from my experience, language itself is awesome. frameworks and ecosystem is as crap as any other enterprisey thingy, except it has concise standardized tools, which puts it miles ahead the others.

I am a PHP coder and when someone says "PHP sucks" I am pretty sure they've never heard about PSR or haven't tried PHP7 before. The same probably goes with .NET stack too.

@psone PHP is cancer by default, but awesome with proper frameworks like Symphony or Laravel - pretty much any templating engine and it stops being so cancerous and starts being fun.

@HelloUglyWorld yeah, PHP is bearable once you have a framework that hides most of the PHP from you =D
