(Backstory, she and her friend runs a store. Shit happened between them. The friend is the one who setup the store's Facebook page. Now posting shit on that page. She's not tech savvy. I can probably brute force her password. No 2FA)

Did you know logging into chrome will auto sync all your fucking bookmarks to that other person's account??

(I use Firefox mainly and chromium for testing.)
I use chrome only for porn. Got shit tons of bookmarks. I login to my friend's sister Gmail on my chrome(for remote desktop - to help fix her computer. Somehow,remote desktop doesn't work on chromium)
Was browsing her pc via remote session and suddenly all of my porn bookmarks appear at the top bar.)
Had to manually select each bookmark in the bookmark manager and delete since CTRL+A won't work during the remote session. Don't know why.
FML.

Anyone else dealing with constant back pain? (Sometimes wrist pain??!) I try to sit in a proper posture but after coding for about an hour,fucking back pain always comes back. And I've been only coding for almost 3 years and am in my early 20. Need to change my habit else this shit will get worse.

How do you all store photos on your site?
Personally, I setup a unique directory for each users, user table has directory name column and every photos that they upload are store in there. Any other ways?

Reading through MDN's accessibility guidelines and realize I've never consider how disabled people would browse on my sites. From now on,I will try to make my sites accessible as much as possible for those people too.

Most Incompetent co-worker. It was me during my first job. Not humble bragging or some shit. I was straight out fucking incompetent during my first job.
Hear me out.
I graduated my diploma course specialising in networks(from computer to cellular/telecom networks) but I did a few programming courses and my internship was at a lab - did iOT stuffs with raspi and arduinos. I am a A+ student so was giving priority to choose a better internship place. Fun time. So I fell in love with programming. As soon as i graduated I applied for a Java job. Got a job at a domain name reseller/hosting company using java EE. Remember my programming = very basic/OOP concepts/basic SQL knowledge. That's it.
I am that little childish fucker who thought he knew everything and I kept interrupting my coworkers with stupid questions.
Same time, I was under the darkest moments of my life with some family drama/tension headaches.
2 months into the job, one coworker really got pissed off with my interruptions and bluntly told me "*my name,you are stupid aren't you"
The manager was a really nice guy. I will forever thanks him for his advices. He knew I was struggling with family shits and gave me another 3 months probation period to redeem myself. But I gave up. That was back in 2015.
It was a great place I fucked it up. But I learnt precious life lessons. I was young,stupid and didn't know how to handle stress.
I thanks myself for not quitting programming after that experience.

My friend called me today.
Him : Dude,can you write an app for both android/ios for my uni's orientation night. The app -
1) will only be activated only in the school compound.
2) display all the images with certain hashtag from Instagram.
3) voting option for selecting king/queen of the night.
Oh and the event is in next two weeks. You can just modify the Facebook and the instagram app right?

Any tips for a Dev who never contributed to an open source project before? What sorts of mistakes do first time contributors normally make? Most importantly what can I do to not annoy* fellow contributors?

Two friends (doing part time degree in Digital System Security awarded by a pretty well known Aussie Uni) hired me to do their final year project.
I was like "Sure,extra money + a project to apply my newly learned laravel skills". So,I quoted them a certain price for the whole project. Remember,even after I started the project, they have no clear vision. Both of them are like "Sure,man whatever is easier for you". And the system at their uni is that they need to meet with their project supervisor every 2 weeks. If the supervisor wanted to change sth,they relay it to me and I need to add/modify...so the same process has been going on for about 2 months. I was expecting to finish the project within the first month but now they keep requesting.. What I've charged was for their supposedly version 1.
So my mistakes here -
Working with friend/ not setting a line between work and friendship.
Charging by the whole project(without even really knowing what the customers are expecting) should have charged hourly rate.
The good thing here is that I was thinking about going for a part time degree(still thinking about it) previously it was 100% now it's only 50-50

Finish reading Speaking JavaScript and intro to algo by clrs.
Get Google Certified Mobile Web Specialist cert.
Start my part time degree in Computer Science.

During an interview, is it ok to show the live websites/apps(backend admin dashboard) that I did alone at my current job? How do you all showcase your works?

Have this iOS maniac/UI guy/hustler at my office. (Refers to my first Rant,he's the fucker who always try to shove his iPhone to my face.) Hats off to him for knowing how to generate passive income and his hustling skill. But I hate that fucker. He always like to start a debate. He's always doing his sidejobs all the time. He sells staff online(even fidget spinner). He also does wedding photo shoots. Heard from a friend, he's a mediocre photographer but gets client by giving his potential clients lower prices than his competitors. He got a few connections and somehow always doing websites for his own client by going to codepen and copy pasting JavaScript from here and there. He doesn't know shit about programming. That fucker doesn't even know about closures. He literally doesn't know shit. Yet try to debate about with us regarding programming (wtf?) Always trying to get us to help him with his side paid jobs -when he encountered an error,he will immediately bug us- sometimes would interrupt us while we are busy with the company's stuff. If we don't help, he would slightly mock by saying things like "it's ok...I understand you guys are not that experienced yet..etc". The senior dev was pissed off the other day and emailed a super detailed complaint to the HR.
Note : He gets paid more by his photoshooting jobs on the weekend, he's only at this job for his future citizenship application. That fucker. He's the type of fucker that will definitely gets rich but gets hated by everyone.

Favourite part - Our boss is a spineless scum.

Why do people need to bother about my phone? I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and I am perfectly ok with it. You don't have to shove your iPhone to my face and tell me to try iOS. Acting like iOS is the only shit matters. I am perfectly ok with my 230 SGD phone, the customisability of Android and not having to worry about my credit bills.
