Don't know what is worst: that they offer to teach Visual Basic on 2018, or that they "invented" Visual Java.

Seriously?

Visual Java is C# in this brief moment between Microsoft trying to assimilate it and being taken to court.

@CWins thanks for the update. I it were me, I would have written C# en that panflet.

Probably they were referring to j# (till 2005)

I don't know what is worse: that someone considers Visual Basic outdated (even if it supports the latest versions of .NET Framework exactly as C#) or that someone doesn't even want to search info about Visual Java and prefers to be ignorant.

@JS96 if its visual basic yes it's outdated... But if it's visual basic. Net it's not... One small word changes everything :)

@dontbeevil Visual Basic .NET replaced Visual Basic 6 and even Microsoft calls it just "Visual Basic", so I guess they'are talking about the latest version.

@JS96 here in Argentina they keep teaching Visual Basic 6 and Visual Fox Pro 6. I assure you it's not the latest version.
  • 2
@juankortiz in that case you’re right

Oh, man, I learnt Visual Basic 2 years ago and it was really really useful! I don't know why I got hit so many times when I showed the code to my friends, though.

@lotd Even Microsoft agrees that this language shouldn't exist
