It's a flawed question though because the more popular languages are going to come out on top because more people have experienced them.

If you asked what peoples favorite language was, you'd get roughly the same names at the top

@Hade I think you're right about things people use more giving them more chance to hate it.

However, if you ask for favorites I think notable omissions like Python, Rust, Ruby, and Go would be on top.

People hate Java that much? Honestly it seems like one of the most appealing languages to me, behind Python and Elixir.
