I am so freaking pulled. I am fresh out of college and I have been absorbed in tech for a long time. So I wanna learn something cool but everytime I start something I feel like am I reading the right things? how do I know I have learnt something, and the materials are so long but so slow, I have no idea if I'll read something good that tells me about how things actually work or at the end of it'll just give me some play with this toy example and leave me. I don't care if I have to study all night! I just want to go through some material knowing I'll learn what I am reading in and out!

Serious advice here that a lot will cancel, but I recoment because of other reasons. Learn C, many languages are based on it and knowing this one will learn you about the operating system a bit, nothing about memory (that's a hoax!), gives you insight of API of many languages like python, ruby, php etc. Sockets work with all those languages the same in the end for example. A lot of io stuff. Also, it will keep you busy, c will end the god complex and slowly will give it back to you when deserved. C won't give you a job these days but it will give you skills for all the others. You won't regret learning it ever. C, Python and C# (or Java or some other compiled typed decent language) is what I would invest in.

Do you know the book "The subtle art of not giving a fuck?". It learns you, when multiple things (in this case technologies) are important and impossible to do all. Choose three to invest in and go hardcore. Also consider SQL or deploying as 'soft skills' to gain.

Ughz, I accidentally committed my api key, now I have to delete the key at openai ffs. I have files with outside git that contains Auth, review system did review them because it runs on my pc and did mention them and committed there. Fuck. Good to know that's possible. I ack/grep my servers regularly on Auth keys for mistakes like this.
