Companies like this should not be allowed to live

If they left the "or" away you would read over it.
They're saying this:
"Hopefully the applicant has exp with Linux or Redhat so he will be quickly operational because we use Redhat here."

Being familiar with Linux is good, being familiar with the specific distro is even better.

Why not, seems perfectly reasonable.

@rootshell yeah but this is an advertisement for a job vacancy I don't think so that such issues should be present

I am less worried about the company as of these 2 things:

- the guy/s you are working with haven't red that
- the guy/s you are working with have red that
